Abedini is serving eight years in prison in Iran \u201con charges relating to his Christian beliefs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we continue to work for his freedom, today, again, we call on the Iranian government to release Pastor Abedini, so he can return to the loving arms of his wife and children in Idaho,\u201d Mr. Obama said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Obama scolded a number of countries including Iran and North Korea for repressing religious minorities and called on Iranian regime to free Pastor Abedini who remains imprisoned in Iran.
