In recent months the raids have intensified especially in rural areas of the country as more peoples view satellite TVs.<\/p>\n
The Iranian regime’s State Security Forces regularly attack people’s houses in major cities and towns to collect satellite receivers and dishes to prevent people from viewing opposition satellite TVs.<\/p>\n
The Iranian regime’s repressive forces also last week raided a number residential houses in some districts in Tehran collecting satellite dishes from rooftops.<\/p>\n
In January, a deputy commander of the Iranian regime’s Revolutionary Guards Corp (IRGC) expressed its fear of satellite TV channels and warned members of Basij para-military forces that the “enemy” is trying to affect the public opinion by “creating a negative wave.”<\/p>\n
Speaking to member of Basij, Hamid Khoramdel, deputy commander of the Revolutionary Guards in Bushehr said that more than 3000 satellite networks are engaged in activities against the Iranian regime and are infusing their own goal among the Iranian people.<\/p>\n
He said: “The enemies are aiming to enforce pressure against the Islamic government (the regime) and affect the public opinion by creating a negative wave in the world via news media.”<\/p>\n
\u201cStrong sanctions and economic pressures imposed on Iran under the pretext of nuclear issue is in line with the same scenario,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Khoramdel said: \u201cMore than 3000 accessible satellite networks in the country are indirectly imposing their goal on the people.”<\/p>\n
Khoramdel said that that the most of damage to the regime during the 2009 uprising in Iran was caused by internet and opposition satellite networks.<\/p>\n
The Iranian regime’s culture minister said in December 2013 that more than 70 percent of people of Tehran are watching banned satellite channels.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
