The following are excerpts from his letter: <\/p>\n<p>&quot;While the Iranian regime&#8217;s drive to acquire nuclear weapons has evolved as one of the most pressing international concerns, its vicious and brutal meddling in Iraqi affairs is increasingly worrisome.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;The tragic incident on Monday May 29 is a clear and vivid example that deserves your Excellency&#8217;s immediate attention.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;According to news reports, a roadside bomb killed 13 Iraqis and wounded 15 others who worked at the main camp of the People&#8217;s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI), the organization of Iranian dissidents who oppose Iran&#8217;s regime and live in Iraq. The blast targeted a public bus near Khalis, 50 miles north of Baghdad.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;The murderous bombing occurred in the wake a spate of constant reports of Iranian regime&#8217;s infiltrating into Iraqi security apparatus and even controlling safe houses and torture centers in Baghdad among other places in recent months.&quot; <\/p>\n<p>He stressed: &quot;The tragedy on Monday should be condemned vigorously.&quot; The Polish MEP expressed concern over the safety and welfare of PMOI members based in Camp Ashraf and said: &quot;These individuals who are &#8216;protected persons&#8217; according to the Fourth Geneva Convention are the primary targets of the mullahs&#8217; unbridled terrorism in Iraq.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>He concluded: &quot;I would like to use this occasion to urge your Excellency to reiterate on the rights of the PMOI personnel in Iraq and make sure that they are granted political asylum in Iraq.&quot;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NCRI &ndash; In a letter to the UN Secretary General, Kofi Annan, the Polish member of the European Parliament, Wojciech Roszkowski, expressed concern over terrorist threats by the Iranian regime.
