Razieh Ebrahimi \u2013 called \u201cMaryam\u201d in the local press \u2013 who was forced to marry at the age of 14, became a mother at 15 and allegedly killed her husband at 17.<\/p>\n
Razieh had reportedly first admitted to killing her husband while he was asleep in 2010. But later said her husband was killed by three persons who had entered their house.<\/p>\n
Despite international laws prohibiting execution for crimes committed by juveniles, Ebrahimi is on death row.<\/p>\n
The Iranian regime has executed at least 11 child offenders in the past five years which has made Iran, under the rule of the mullahs, ranked as the country with the world’s highest number of child executions.<\/p>\n
The death sentence was issued by a court in the Fars province after the Supreme Court ordered a review of the case following a request by her lawyer on the grounds that she was under 18 at the time of the crime.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
