In an interview with Swiss daily Tribune de Geneve, Vice-president of the Syrian National Coalition Mohammed Kaddah said: “The fall of al-Maliki will cause that of Assad.”<\/p>\n
Mr. Mohammed Kaddah was at the\u00a0Palais des Nations in Geneva on Wednesday, August 13, 2014.<\/p>\n
Mrs Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the Iranian Resistance and dignitaries from various countries visited an exhibition held outside the European UN Headquarters that displayed images of massacres in Camp Ashraf, Syria, Iraq and Gaza.<\/p>\n
Below is the text of interview with Mr. Mohammed Kaddah published in August 14, 2014 issue of Tribune de Geneve:<\/p>\n
Q:What is your reason for supporting Iranian dissidents?<\/strong><\/p>\n The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK) do much to document the crimes of the Iranian regime. The mullahs, like Bashar al-Assad, rule by terror. These are two faces of terrorism and we are fighting for the same cause.<\/p>\n Q: Without the support of Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon, would have Assad fallen by now, in your opinion?<\/strong><\/p>\n For sure. Since the beginning of the revolution, in 2011, the regime was kept alive with the help of Russia, Iran, Iraq and Hezbollah. Other countries have indirectly allowed him to hold on, but without any doubt, it will die. The situation in Iraq has caused the ousting of Tehran’s puppet al-Maliki. This ousting will cause the other despots in the region to go, and the same for Bashar al-Assad, to fall like dominos.<\/p>\n Q: Do you expect anything more from the Westerners?<\/strong><\/p>\n Those who started the revolution in Syria now know they should not wait for anything from the Americans or anyone else. Experience has taught them not to expect any support from anyone except from God.<\/p>\n Q: Has the departure of combatants fighting in Syria to Iraq made any changes to the military situation?<\/strong><\/p>\n Over fifty extremist groups from Iran, Iraq and Lebanon who fought alongside the Assad regime left for Iraq. We have used the opportunity to intensify our attacks against his army.<\/p>\n Q: Are you worried about establishment of an Islamic state in the east of Syria?<\/strong><\/p>\n There will not be a caliphate in Syria.
