Iranians living in Toronto and supporters of the opposition movement the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/pmoi-mek\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(PMOI\/MEK<\/a>) gathered on Saturday in the center of the Canadian city to protest at violations of<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/human-rights\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> human rights<\/a> in their country under Hassan Rouhani which includes over 1,000 executions since he became the regime\u2019s president last year.<\/p>\n<p>The protesters carrying signs reading \u201cPolitical Prisoners must be freed\u201d demanded international action to stop torture and execution of political prisoners and religious and ethnic minorities.<\/p>\n<p>The protesters who included members of families of Iranian dissidents in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/protection-for-camp-liberty-residents\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Camp Liberty<\/a> in Iraq called on the United Nations and the United States to act to protest the camp residents and guarantee the residents free access to medical care.<\/p>\n<p>One big sign carried by the protesters read: \u201cDeath to Ali Khamenei and Velayat-e faqih (absolute rule of the clergy).<\/p>\n<p>The Iranians supported Mrs Maryam Rajavi\u2019s ten-point plan for future of Iran and called for democratic change in their homeland.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"mek-october4-canada1\"
