NCRI \u2013 The Iranian regime\u2019s State Security Forces (police) attacked the residents of Isfahan protesting against the recent wave of acid attacks by gangs affiliated to the clerical regime in Iran.<\/p>\n
The protester shouted saying \u201cthe police splashes acid on our faces and as we protest they attack us.\u201d<\/p>\n
The State Security Forces were unable to stop the protester who were chanting: \u201cSecurity, freedom, are the rights of the Iranian women.\u201d<\/p>\n
On Wednesday, October 22, the enraged people of Isfahan and Tehran staged an extensive demonstration in protest against the barbarity of the regime-organized criminal gangs who splashacid on women and girls.<\/p>\n
In Isfahan, despite closing down the streets where demonstration was taking place, extensive security provisions, and the heavy presence of suppressive elements, this demonstration was held with a dense crowd in Nikbakht Street across from the Justice building and also in the Chaharbagh Street. Similarly in Tehran, despite suppressive measures, a demonstration was held across from the Parliament.<\/p>\n
The demonstrators chanted: \u201cYou victimized sister, you will remain in our heart\u201d, \u201cYou worse than ISIS; you splash acid on us\u201d, \u201cOur parliament is our shame, our shame\u201d, \u201cDeath to the one who splashes acid\u2026 death to one who splashed acid\u201d, \u201cVeiling cannot be achieved by coercion\u201d, \u201cWith or without veil, we don\u2019t want splashing of acid\u201d, \u201cThe right of woman for security? Splashing acid, atrocity\u201d, \u201cMisogynic laws should be annulled\u201d, \u201cPublic prosecutor be ashamed and leave your position\u201d, and \u201cSecurity forces, where are the eyes of my sister?\u201d<\/p>\n
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, hailed the people of Isfahan and Tehran for demonstrating to protest the anti-human crime by mullahs\u2019 regime against women and called on all Iranians, especially women and youth, to join the national movement in defense of Iranian women. The faltering mullahs\u2019 regime, engulfed in internal and external crises, is trying to avert the explosion of people\u2019s wrath by resorting to these heinous crimes and creating an atmosphere of terror and fear, she said.<\/p>\n
Mrs. Rajavi called on the international community to condemn this anti-human crime by mullahs\u2019 regime and to adopt immediate measures through the UN Security Council to stop these crimes. She stated that the silence by the international community in face of these tragedies, for whatever reason, virtually encourages this regime and gives it a free hand to continue with these crimes in Iran.<\/p>\n
