On June 12, three women who were accused of drug smuggling were hanged in Chobindar Prison in the city of Qazvin, west of Tehran. The fourth female victim, identified as Farzaneh Youzan, was hanged in a prison in southeastern town of Iranshahr.<\/p>\n
On June 15, a man identified as Ali Babaee, was also hanged in Iranshahr Prison, according to the state-run daily Resalat. <\/p>\n
On the same day, the state-run daily Javan reported that three men had been hanged. It wrote, “With the insistence of the Judiciary Chief for an expeditious trial of these people, the criminal court in Kerman investigated the matter and handed down the sentences, which were later confirmed by the Supreme Court.’ <\/p>\n
To counter the persistent uprisings and demonstrations in various provinces, the medieval clerical regime is resorting to brutal hangings of Iranian people.<\/p>\n
The Iranian Resistance calls on all human rights and women’s rights organizations as well as the upcoming session of the United Nations’ Human Rights Council to condemn the hangings and take urgent measures to stop these brutal actions against the Iranian people. <\/p>\n
