Kaymasy Salkhory.<\/p>\n<p>From the beginning of the year, the Iranian regime has executed at least 21 prisoners. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/ncri-statements\/human-rights\/17752-iran-14-including-4-women-hanged-on-new-year-s-day\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"alternate noopener noreferrer\">On New Year&#8217;s Day, 14 inmates were executed<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/human-rights\/17758-iran-graphic-photos-three-men-hanged-in-public-in-northeastern-town\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"alternate noopener noreferrer\">Three prisoners were hanged in public<\/a>\u00a0in a city in northwestern Iran on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>At least 1,200 people have been executed since Rouhani became president, including political prisoners.<\/p>\n<p>The executions are being carried out to create fear and intimidation in society and to prevent any public expression of dissent against the regime.<\/p>\n<p>The United Nations General Assembly last month slammed the violations of human rights by the Iranian regime.<\/p>\n<p>The resolution criticized the Iranian regime&#8217;s use of inhuman punishments, including flogging and amputations.<\/p>\n<p>The UN\u2019s 61st resolution also censured the mullahs\u2019 dictatorship ruling Iran for the rise in executions, public executions and execution of juveniles.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NCRI &ndash; The Iranian regime&rsquo;s henchmen hanged a 21-year-old man in the main prison in the city of Qazvin.
