The authorities in the main prison in the southern city of Kerman have transferred three men to isolation to await their execution on Sunday.<\/p>\n
The three prisoners who have been sentenced to death allegedly for drug related offences have been identified as Karim Alizehi, Hossan Rahimyar, and Ghader Alizehi.<\/p>\n
\u00a0From the beginning of the year, the Iranian regime has executed at least 24 prisoners. On New Year’s Day, 14 inmates were executed.<\/p>\n
At least 1,200 people have been executed since Rouhani became president, including political prisoners<\/p>\n
The executions are being carried out to create fear and intimidation in society and to prevent any public expression of dissent against the regime.<\/p>\n
