{"id":17854,"date":"2015-01-24T13:39:06","date_gmt":"2015-01-24T13:39:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news1613067580\/news-sp-256\/terrorism-a-fundamentalism\/17854-argentinian-prosecutor-tied-hassan-rouhani-to-1994-iran-bombing-in-buenos-aires"},"modified":"2023-03-15T09:26:23","modified_gmt":"2023-03-15T08:26:23","slug":"argentinian-prosecutor-tied-hassan-rouhani-to-1994-iran-bombing-in-buenos-aires","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/terrorism-a-fundamentalism\/argentinian-prosecutor-tied-hassan-rouhani-to-1994-iran-bombing-in-buenos-aires\/","title":{"rendered":"Argentinian prosecutor tied Hassan Rouhani to 1994 Iran regime bombing in Buenos Aires"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"caption alignnone\" title=\"Hassan Rouhani was at the center of Nisman's probe into 1994 bombing\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/images\/stories\/2014\/regime\/hassan_rouhani-300a.jpg\" alt=\"Argentinian prosecutor tied Hassan Rouhani to 1994 Iran regime bombing in Buenos Aires\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Hassan Rouhani, the president of the clerical regime in Iran, has been at the center of the deceased Argentine prosecutor Alberto Nisman probe into the Iranian regime\u2019s role in the 1994 bombing in Bunes Aires that left 85 dead and hundreds wounded, according to columnist Andres Oppenheimer who had been in contact with the prosecutor as early\u00a0a day before his death.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn several telephone conversations and e-mail exchanges I had with Nisman over the past three years, the prosecutor told me that Rouhani was among the top Iranian officials who had \u201cparticipated in the decision\u201d to bomb the Jewish community center in Buenos Aires.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>Alberto Nisman has told Oppenheimer: \u201cRouhani was a top member of a special committee within Iran\u2019s VEVAK intelligence agency, known as Vijeh, which in 1994 was overseeing secret operations abroad, including the AMIA bombing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShortly after Rouhani was proclaimed the winner of Iran\u2019s elections on June 15, 2013, and the world media described the Iranian president-elect as a \u2018moderate,\u2019 I had asked Nisman whether Iran\u2019s then-president-elect was a suspect in his investigation into the AMIA bombing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNisman told me that Rouhani was not among the eight Iranian officials whose international arrest he had requested to Interpol in 2006, but that he was a member of the committee that had planned the attack.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.miamiherald.com\/news\/local\/news-columns-blogs\/andres-oppenheimer\/article7905459.html\" rel=\"noopener\">According to the article that appeared in Miami Herald <\/a>and many other newspapers, in an email to Oppenheimer on 1 July 2013, Mr Nisman criticized the fact that Hassan Rouhani was being described by the\u00a0media as a \u201cmoderate\u201d that \u201cnobody is pointing out that Rouhani participated in the decision of the AMIA attack.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Describing his opinion on mysterious death of the prosecutor, Oppenheimer writes: \u201cThere are serious doubts that Nisman committed suicide. In TV interviews and an email he sent me Jan. 17, a day before he was found dead, in which he said he was \u2018obviously interested\u2019 in doing an interview after his scheduled Jan. 19 congressional testimony, Nisman seemed very self-confident. He had even left his maid a list of groceries she was supposed to buy at the supermarket the day after he was found dead.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Oppenheimer concludes his view on Mr. Nisman killing with adding: \u201cAt a time when the United States and other countries are negotiating a nuclear deal with the allegedly moderate Rouhani, it\u2019s a good time to remember this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;-<\/p>\n<p>The Iranian regime&#8217;s officials whose international arrest warrant has\u00a0been issued by\u00a0Interpol in 2006 include: Ali Akbar Velayati. the current advisor to the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei; Mohsen Rezai, the current secretary of the Expediency Council and former IRGC commander; Ahmad Vahidi, former Defense Minister; Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, former president of the clerical regime; Ali Fallahian, former Intelligence Minister; Mohsen Rabbani, former cultural attach\u00e9 in the regime\u2019s embassy in Argentina; and Ahmad Reza Asghari, the former third secretary in the regime\u2019s embassy in Argentina.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-42695\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/01\/regime-amia-bombing-500.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"363\"
