NCRI – A senior military official in Iran has boasted that the regime’s borders now extend as far as Yemen.<\/p>\n
General Mohammad Bagherzadeh said: “Our borders are no longer at Shalamcheh, Koshk or the city of Mehran. They now extend from Yemen to the Mediterranean.\u201d<\/p>\n
“The al-Houthis victory in Yemen was not a simple or an ordinary and a transient one, but it is a historical victory for the Islamic Republic of Iran that has decided to relieve the oppressed in the Islamic world by using the Islamic model.”<\/p>\n
General Bagherzadeh, who heads the army\u2019s Committee for the Search of the Missing in the Action, was speaking at a gathering in city of Ahvaz on Saturday.<\/p>\n
He added: “Arab leaders cannot imagine how far Iran can reach, because Iran has a motivating influence in Islamic nations and the Islamic world.”<\/p>\n
In the past few days many Iranian officials have taken credit for training and arming the Houthis in Yemen.<\/p>\n
Yemeni rebels are ‘similar to the Lebanese Hezbollah’ and ‘will come into action against the enemies of Islam’, Ali Shirazi, a representative of the regime\u2019s terrorist Qods Force declared.<\/p>\n
He told the Defa Press news agency on Sunday: “The Houthi group is similar to Hezbollah, and this group will come into action against the enemies of Islam.<\/p>\n
“The Islamic republic directly supports the Houthis in Yemen, Hezbollah in Lebanon and the popular forces in Syria and Iraq.<\/p>\n
“Hezbollah was formed in Lebanon as a popular force like Basij. Similarly popular forces were also formed in Syria and Iraq, and today we are watching the formation of Ansar Allah in Yemen,” he added.<\/p>\n
In late 2014, Ali Akbar Velayati, a senior advisor to Khamenei said the regime supported the \u201crightful struggles\u201d of the Houthi Ansarullah (Ansar Allah) group in Yemen, and \u201cconsiders it as part of the successful Islamic Awakening movements.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
