The Iranian regime has not still provided information about all suspicions that it may have researched an atomic bomb, a UN watchdog’s report showed on Thursday.<\/p>\n
The report by the Vienna based International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on the Iranian regime\u2019s nuclear program said Tehran had still not provided information about two areas of the IAEA’s investigation that was due by late August.<\/p>\n
The confidential document was issued to IAEA member states weeks before a March deadline for a framework agreement between the Iranian regime and the six world powers.<\/p>\n
United Nations nuclear watchdog is cannot \u201cprovide credible assurance about the absence of undeclared nuclear material and activities in Iran, and therefore to conclude that all nuclear material in Iran is in peaceful activities,\u201d the chief of the international nuclear watchdog says.<\/p>\n
Late last month, speaking in University of Indonesia, Mr. Yukiya Amano, the director of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said: \u201cTwo of the main nuclear verification issues on the Agency\u2019s agenda in recent years have been North Korea and Iran.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThese are very different cases. What they have in common is the fact that these countries have failed to fully implement their safeguards agreements with the IAEA and other relevant obligations. This makes it very difficult for us to do our job effectively.\u201d<\/p>\n
On the case of the Iranian regime\u2019s nuclear activities he said: \u201cwe are not in a position to provide credible assurance about the absence of undeclared nuclear material and activities in Iran, and therefore to conclude that all nuclear material in Iran is in peaceful activities.\u201d<\/p>\n
Amano emphasized: \u201cIn addressing the Iran nuclear issue, two things are important. First, with the cooperation of Iran, the Agency needs to clarify issues with possible military dimensions to the satisfaction of Member States. Also, Iran needs to implement the additional protocol so that the Agency can provide credible assurance about the absence of undeclared nuclear material and activities in Iran.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
