NCRI – On Tuesday, April 21, Mr. Hamid Farrokhi, a deprived peddler in Tabriz who had committed self-immolation in protest to mullahs\u2019 regime oppression on April 13 in front of the municipal building of District Eight in Tabriz, lost his life due to severity of his burns.<\/p>\n
This man of 43 had referred to the municipality to get back his petty property that had been confiscated by the suppressive forces. They not only refused to return his trivial property as the only means of earning a living for his family, but ridiculed him who had threatened to commit suicide out of all kinds of pressures in his life and provoked him to do it.<\/p>\n
Prior, Abdulkarim Ahmadi, a deprived Kurdish laborer from Divandarreh in Kurdistan who was married and father of two, hanged himself on March 21 at the age of 60. He, who was unable to provide the minimum necessities of life for his family, ended his years of hardship by hanging himself. Similarly, on March 22, Younes Asakereh, a deprived Arab laborer from Khorramshahr, lost his life. He too had committed self-immolation 10 days earlier in protest to repeated attacks by the suppressive forces on his petty business stand and their obstructions in allowing him to earn a living.<\/p>\n
In general, the workers in Iran are struggling with poverty, hunger and unemployment while Iran\u2019s huge wealth is either spent by this regime on internal suppression, export of terrorism, warmongering in the region, and the ominous nuclear project that do not serve the national interest or is plundered by regime\u2019s leaders.<\/p>\n
As long as this regime is in power, suppression, poverty, hunger, prostitution and addiction shall persist. The only way to end all this tyranny and oppression is by the overthrow of the anti-human clerical regime and the establishment of democracy in Iran.<\/p>\n
