{"id":18640,"date":"2015-07-03T10:00:28","date_gmt":"2015-07-03T09:00:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/statements\/nuclear\/18640-interview-us-offering-iran-regime-too-many-concessions-in-nuclear-talks"},"modified":"2023-01-15T06:45:10","modified_gmt":"2023-01-15T05:45:10","slug":"interview-us-offering-iran-regime-too-many-concessions-in-nuclear-talks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/nuclear\/interview-us-offering-iran-regime-too-many-concessions-in-nuclear-talks\/","title":{"rendered":"Interview: US offering Iran regime too many concessions in nuclear talks"},"content":{"rendered":"<img decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-43343\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/07\/alireza-jafarzade-newsmax-300.jpg\" alt=\" Alireza Jafarzadeh, deputy director of the US Representative Office of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) speaking on Newsmax TV, July 2, 2015\" title=\"Alireza Jafarzadeh of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) on Newsmax TV, July 2, 2015\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>\n<p>The US administration is bending over backward to get a nuclear arms deal inked with the Iranian regime and in doing so is dooming the chances of any truly meaningful agreement, Alireza Jafarzadeh, deputy director of the US Representative Office of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), said in an interview with Newsmax TV.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You&#8217;re dealing with a regime that is not a normal state,&#8221; Jafarzadeh said Thursday on &#8220;The Steve Malzberg Show&#8221; on<a href=\"http:\/\/www.newsmax.com\/Newsmax-Tv\/iran-dissident-nuclear-deal\/2015\/07\/02\/id\/653331\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"alternate noopener noreferrer\"> Newsmax TV<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They&#8217;re the worst leading state sponsor of terror, they&#8217;re a major violator of human rights and they have been deceptive since Day One when they got engaged in their nuclear weapons program run by the Iranian revolutionary guards.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The approach [to negotiating] if it&#8217;s just constantly giving in, you&#8217;re going to be doomed to give even more, but if \u2026 you are dealing with them from the position of decisiveness and firmness, then you&#8217;ll see a change in the attitude of Tehran.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Iran has already been caught cheating. The whole reason we are negotiating is because of Iran&#8217;s violations and you want to be able to be in a position to have surprise inspections. If you take away the element of surprise, that&#8217;s going to be no good,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;When it comes to the nuclear program of Iran, [it&#8217;s] &#8216;we&#8217;re going to work with you, we&#8217;re going to be creative.&#8217; The word &#8216;creative&#8217; means that you&#8217;re going to back down. We&#8217;re going to give in more,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Jafarzadeh is against extending the deadline of the international nuclear talks between the P5+1 and the Iranian regime.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The whole issue of extension really means that there will be more time to give up more things to the Iranian regime. That&#8217;s why we need to have strict deadlines and stick to those deadlines,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Jafarzadeh is the author of &#8220;<a
