{"id":18778,"date":"2015-07-22T14:44:38","date_gmt":"2015-07-22T13:44:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news1613067580\/news-sp-256\/terrorism-a-fundamentalism\/18778-pmoi-mek-and-ncri-main-targets-of-iran-regime-s-spies-germany"},"modified":"2023-01-15T08:58:12","modified_gmt":"2023-01-15T07:58:12","slug":"pmoi-mek-and-ncri-main-targets-of-iran-regime-s-spies-germany","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/terrorism-a-fundamentalism\/pmoi-mek-and-ncri-main-targets-of-iran-regime-s-spies-germany\/","title":{"rendered":"PMOI (MEK) and NCRI main targets of Iran regime\u2019s spies &#8211; Germany"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"mois-480\" class=\" size-full wp-image-43545\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/07\/mois-480.jpg\" alt=\"mois-480\" width=\"419\" height=\"411\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/mois-480.jpg 419w, https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/mois-480-300x294.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 419px) 100vw, 419px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>NCRI &#8211; The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/pmoi-mek\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"alternate noopener noreferrer\">People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran, PMOI (Mujahedin-e Khalq, MEK)<\/a>, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/about\/our-resistance\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"alternate noopener noreferrer\">National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI)<\/a>\u00a0are the primary targets of spying activity by the Iranian regime\u2019s notorious Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS), Germany\u2019s domestic intelligence service, the Office for the Protection of the Constitution (Bundesamt f\u00fcr Verfassungsschutz, or \u2018BfV\u2019), said in a new annual report.<\/p>\n<p>Spying on the Iranian opposition is the most important task pursued by the Iranian regime\u2019s intelligence apparatus, the BfV wrote in its 260-page annual report dated July 2015.<\/p>\n<p>The report covers some of the activities of the Iranian regime\u2019s Ministry of Intelligence and its embassy in Germany through the course of 2014.<\/p>\n<p>The report states on pages 152 and 153:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSpying and fighting against opposition movements in Iran and abroad remains one of the most important points of concentration of the Iranian regime\u2019s intelligence apparatus. Therefore, these intelligence systems are gaining political, economic and scientific information in Western countries.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIran\u2019s Ministry of Intelligence (MOIS) remains the most important element behind the activities against Germany. Its focus is especially on the <a href=\"http:\/\/peoplesmojahedin.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"alternate noopener noreferrer\">People&#8217;s Mojahedin Organization of Iran<\/a>\u00a0and National Council of Resistance of Iran. Alongside these intelligence and reconnaissance measures against German systems and equipment inside and abroad, first and foremost the interests of Germany\u2019s long-term objectives lie in the fields of foreign policy and security.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This report continues in a section entitled, \u201cMethods\u201d:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt first controlling intelligence activities to obtain information is carried out by the main base of the Ministry of Intelligence and Security in Tehran. To reach this goal, the MOIS especially uses family and\/or work visits to Iran by individuals who are on this ministry\u2019s list of targets. The reason is that in Tehran it is less possible for them to get loose of the MOIS, and this is a perfect preset for intelligence system conditions and activities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSimultaneously, the main and legal center of Iran\u2019s<a href=\"http:\/\/moisdisinformation.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"alternate noopener noreferrer\"> MOIS<\/a> in Berlin carries out very important activities and tasks focusing on intelligence gathering. This includes supporting and pursuing intelligence operations ordered by the MOIS base; (these operations) are mainly against targets in Germany, but in various cases they are against individuals or facilities in European countries. Colleagues in Iran\u2019s consulates in Germany have a duty to support the MOIS central and legal base.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIran\u2019s intelligence apparatuses are the main tools used by senior (regime) officials to guarantee their hegemony; under such conditions the Iranian opposition remains under the watch of the MOIS.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The BfV report states:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIran considers itself a religious power with a specific structure and objective outside its borders, seasoning it by pursuing an anti-West and anti-Zionist dogma.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSimultaneously clear signs are seen depicting a dramatic crumbling of this regime\u2019s economic conditions due to international sanctions over its nuclear program.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn such circumstances, considering the regime\u2019s interests inside Iran, its necessity to obtain information about the West\u2019s future policies, for example on Germany\u2019s foreign policy and security, and obtaining information on illegal transfers \u2013 to bypass sanctions if possible \u2013 will significantly increase.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/iran-world\/12645-iran-mullahs-maintain-intelligence-network-in-germany-and-austria-pentagon-report\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"alternate noopener noreferrer\">Iran: Mullahs maintain intelligence network in Germany and Austria \u2013 Pentagon report<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/iran-resistance\/12235-dissidents-inside-and-abroad-main-focus-of-iranian-intelligence-german-security-agency-\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"alternate noopener noreferrer\">Dissidents inside and abroad main focus of Iranian intelligence ..
