{"id":18908,"date":"2015-08-09T15:51:16","date_gmt":"2015-08-09T14:51:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/issues\/human-rights\/18908-two-men-hanged-in-public-in-iran"},"modified":"2023-01-15T10:00:03","modified_gmt":"2023-01-15T09:00:03","slug":"two-men-hanged-in-public-in-iran","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/human-rights\/two-men-hanged-in-public-in-iran\/","title":{"rendered":"Two men hanged in public in Iran"},"content":{"rendered":"<img decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-43689\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/08\/iran-hanged-balochies.jpg\" alt=\"Hangings in Iran\" title=\"Archive photo\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/about\/our-resistance\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"alternate noopener noreferrer\">NCRI <\/a>\u2013 Iran\u2019s fundamentalist regime on Sunday hanged two young men in public in the city of Mashhad, north-east Iran.<\/p>\n<p>The official state broadcaster quoted the regime\u2019s prosecutor general in Mashhad, Gholam-Ali Sadeqi, as confirming the two men to have been 24 and 25 years of age.<\/p>\n<p>Their names were not given.<\/p>\n<p>They were hanged in the city\u2019s Hafez Square.<\/p>\n<p>At least 66 prisoners, including two women, have been executed in Iran, in some cases in public squares, in just over a fortnight.<\/p>\n<p>A statement by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra\u2019ad Al Hussein on Wednesday said: &#8220;Iran has reportedly executed more than 600 individuals so far this year.
