NCRI<\/a>\u00a0– Iran’s fundamentalist regime on Monday hanged a young Iranian mother in a notorious prison in Karaj, north-west of the capital Tehran.<\/p>\n

Fatemeh Haddadi, 39, had been imprisoned in the notorious Qarchak Prison for Women in Varamin, south-east of Tehran.<\/p>\n

On Sunday (August 9) wardens took Ms. Haddadi from Hall 6 of Qarchak Prison under the guise of transferring her to the medical center. She was transferred to solitary confinement in Gohardasht (Rajaishahr) Prison in Karaj and was executed there the following day, according to the website of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran, PMOI (Mujahedin-e Khalq, MEK)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ms. Haddadi who had a daughter had been imprisoned for the past eight years.<\/p>\n

There are unconfirmed reports that nine other men were hanged with Ms. Haddadi on Monday in Gohardasht.<\/p>\n

Qarchak Prison, also referred to as \u2018Qarchak Death Camp\u2019, was used by the regime in Iran as a place to brutally torture and rape those arrested during the 2009 anti-regime popular protests. The deaths of at least four young protesters under torture in Qarchak turned into a scandal for the Iranian regime.<\/p>\n

Iran\u2019s regime hanged two other women at the end of July.<\/p>\n

One of the women, identified as Pari-Dokht Molai-Far, was hanged in the notorious Qezelhesar Prison on July 29. The mother of one had been imprisoned in Qarchak Prison for the past three years and was transferred to Qezelhesar to face execution.<\/p>\n

Another woman was hanged in Kerman’s Shahab Prison, southeast Iran, on July 30.<\/p>\n

“Iran has reportedly executed more than 600 individuals so far this year. Last year, at least 753 people were executed in the country,” UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra\u2019ad Al Hussein said on Wednesday<\/a>.<\/p>\n
