{"id":19089,"date":"2015-09-09T21:09:20","date_gmt":"2015-09-09T20:09:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news1613067580\/news-sp-256\/iran-a-world\/19089-don-t-fund-iran-s-regime"},"modified":"2023-01-15T19:25:47","modified_gmt":"2023-01-15T18:25:47","slug":"don-t-fund-iran-s-regime","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/iran-a-world\/don-t-fund-iran-s-regime\/","title":{"rendered":"\u201cDon&#8217;t fund Iran&#8217;s regime\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"irgc-300\" class=\" size-full wp-image-43378\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/07\/irgc-300.jpg\" alt=\"irgc-300\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>American companies who do business with the theocratic regime in Iran would inevitably contribute funds to the Revolutionary Guards Quds Force which is responsible for spreading terrorism globally, Iranian exiles in the U.S. have told Newsmax.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAmericans who develop a business in Iran will find that not a penny they pay in fees to the government will go to help the poor, the 70 percent-plus of Iranians in their teens and 20s who are unemployed, or the teachers who haven\u2019t been paid in six months,\u201d said Allen Tasslimi, New Jersey venture capitalist and president of the Association of Iranian-Americans of New Jersey, whose younger brother was executed by the clerical regime in the 1980s.<\/p>\n<p>Tasslimi predicted that money paid to the Tehran regime by U.S. businesses for opportunities in Iran \u201cwould go to [Iran&#8217;s] Quds Force,\u201d its brutal branch blamed for spreading terror throughout the region, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newsmax.com\/JohnGizzi\/iran-obama-deal\/2015\/09\/09\/id\/680959\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"alternate noopener noreferrer\">Newsmax wrote on Wednesday<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Quds Force is headed by the notorious Gen. Ghasem Soleimani, branded \u201ca cold-blooded killer\u201d by Sen. John McCain for overseeing the manufacture of armor-piercing bullets that have killed more than 500 U.S. Marines, the report said.<\/p>\n<p>Tasslimi, along with other exiles, strongly believes that an enhanced Quds Force \u201cwill provide even greater assistance to the terrorist clients that Khamenei and the regime already service: Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Houthis who have toppled the government of Yemen, and [Syrian President Bashar] Assad\u2019s murderous regime, which has forced tens of thousands to flee to Europe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The shot at American companies was loudly voiced on Saturday by Iranians among the more than 200 guests attending the 50th anniversary celebration Saturday of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/pmoi-mek\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"alternate noopener noreferrer\">People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) \u2014 or MEK<\/a>\u00a0and the largest Iranian opposition group \u2014 in Washington, D.C, Newsmax said.<\/p>\n<p>A voice from the past is driving their pleas. A book written before the U.S. was at war with Germany admonishing American entrepreneurs might be read as a cautionary tale.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou Can\u2019t Do Business With Hitler\u201d became a mantra by a gathering of Iranian exiles this weekend. In it, author Douglas Fuller documented how American businesses who sought opportunity in Hitler\u2019s Germany in the 1930s found themselves short-changed by officially-sanctioned corruption and contributing to what would become an industrial war-making machine against Germany\u2019s neighbors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[Their] mentality, which profoundly affects dealing with the outside world, is an open and cynical disregard of truth and justice in carrying out negotiations either in war or peace,\u201d wrote Fuller, onetime commercial attach\u00e9 at the U.S. Embassy in Berlin in the 1930s.<\/p>\n<p>Much like Tasslimi&#8217;s warning, Fuller in 1941 predicted \u201cone purpose will pervade all German economic policy: Germany\u2019s military advantage.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Tasslimi&#8217;s words were strongly seconded by Northern Virginia restaurateur Hossein Panah, who, like Tasslimi, fled Iran for the U.S. as a teenager in the 1970s.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAmericans shouldn\u2019t do business with Iran\u2019s present government,\u201d he told Newsmax, \u201cbecause for the past 30 years, its goal has been to spread its influence throughout the Middle East\u2014Iraq, Syria, and even Algeria.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Panah likened the American desire to invest in Iran to \u201cseeing someone who makes trouble in the neighborhood by firing a rifle and saying \u2018let\u2019s give him a machine gun and he\u2019ll behave.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said he would urge American businesses \u201cdon\u2019t rush to Iran. You have to somehow put some pressure on the regime not to pursue nuclear ambitions or support terrorists in neighboring countries. And American businesses should give some help to opposition groups.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Newsmax wrote: &#8220;Founded in 1965 to oppose the rule of the Shah of Iran and now opposing the regime of the Mullahs in Tehran, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iran-e-azad.org\/english\/pmoi.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"alternate noopener noreferrer\">MEK<\/a>\u00a0espouses a platform that advocates universal suffrage, gender equality, separation of religion and state, and a non-nuclear Iran.
