NCRI – The mullahs’ regime has acknowledged a considerable rise in the price of food items in Iran.<\/p>\n
The Iranian regime’s Central Bank has published a new report comparing the price of goods over the past week with the same period one year ago.<\/p>\n
Although figures published by the regime generally tend not to show the true scale of the economic and social crises that exist in Iran, but the latest tally is a considerable admission of the Rouhani government\u2019s failure to improve the economic situation of ordinary people.<\/p>\n
According to the Central Bank\u2019s latest figures:<\/p>\n
The price of dairy products has gone up by 5.8 percent;
The price of eggs has gone up by 6.4 percent;
The price of rice has gone up by 16.5 percent;
The price of beans has gone up by 31.7 percent;
The price of fresh fruit has gone up by 4.4 percent;
The price of fresh herbs has gone up by 35.2 percent;
The price of red meat has gone up by 5.9 percent;
The price of sugar has gone up by 17.9 percent;
The price of tea has gone up by 14.8 percent.<\/p>\n
The regime\u2019s former Minister of Education announced last week that Iran\u2019s economy is on the verge of collapse and that not all problems related to the dire economic situation are the byproduct of international sanctions.<\/p>\n
The Fars News Agency, affiliated with the regime\u2019s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC), reported on April 21 that Hamidreza Haji-Babai said that the \u201ccountry\u2019s economy is on the verge of a stroke. We are facing stagnation, and we are not in good shape.\u201d<\/p>\n
Haji-BabaI, who in addition to being a minister was a legislator of the regime for 20 years, made the following assessment of the regime\u2019s economy: \u201cWe should note that not all the problems are related to the sanctions.
