{"id":20427,"date":"2016-05-24T21:37:36","date_gmt":"2016-05-24T20:37:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/issues\/economy\/20427-iranian-workers-find-it-hard-to-bring-bread-to-the-table"},"modified":"2023-01-16T06:35:49","modified_gmt":"2023-01-16T05:35:49","slug":"iranian-workers-find-it-hard-to-bring-bread-to-the-table","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/economy\/iranian-workers-find-it-hard-to-bring-bread-to-the-table\/","title":{"rendered":"Iranian workers find it hard to bring bread to the table"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"valiollah-nanvakenari-400\" class=\" size-full wp-image-45985\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2016\/05\/valiollah-nanvakenari-400.jpg\" alt=\"valiollah-nanvakenari-400\" width=\"400\" height=\"250\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/valiollah-nanvakenari-400.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/valiollah-nanvakenari-400-300x188.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>NCRI &#8211; Iranian workers in Fereydunkenar and Babolsar, northern Iran, are facing an economic crisis, according to a member of the Iranian regime\u2019s Majlis (Parliament) from their cities.<\/p>\n<p>In a meeting with the regime&#8217;s officials in Mazandaran Province on Saturday, Valiollah Nanvakenari revealed the critical condition.<\/p>\n<p>He stated: &#8220;It has been six months since the workers of Fereydunkenar Port have been paid, and some families are even having difficulty bringing bread to the dinner table.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He admitted that the unemployment rate in Mazandaran Province ranks among the highest in the country.<\/p>\n<p>He also stated: &#8220;Unfortunately, in Mazandaran Province, there are a number of semi-finished projects that have been on hold for 20 years and there are still problems in finishing them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, the Iranian regime\u2019s Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare admitted that some five million people in Iran are on the verge of malnutrition.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;According to the charts showing the distribution of wealth in the country, a percentage of the population are very poor, and some four to five million people are on the verge of malnutrition,&#8221;\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/20352-5-million-iranians-on-verge-of-malnutrition-minister-admits\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"alternate noopener noreferrer\">Ali Rabiee told<\/a>\u00a0an annual meeting of General-Practitioners on May 11.<\/p>\n<p>Rabiee\u2019s admission came a month after the regime\u2019s parliament eliminated cash subsidies for 24 million people on April 12, thereby increasing pressure on a population the majority of which is living below the poverty line.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) said in a statement that Iranian youths are falling victim to the astronomical plundering and tyranny of the mullahs\u2019 regime.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe majority of the Iranian people are living under the poverty line, and the hungry masses are even unable to provide for their most basic needs and that of their families. According to the regime\u2019s officials, 70% of the people in the cities and villages of Iran live under the poverty line, and the minimum wage of laborers is several fold under the poverty line that has been announced by the regime itself,\u201d the NCRI said.<\/p>\n<p>The speaker of the regime\u2019s parliament Ali Larijani has stipulated: \u201cCurrently, around $20 billion smuggled goods enter the country and no factory is able to compete with that. Smuggling is hurting production and standards.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At the helm of such smuggling are none other than the regime\u2019s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and the corrupt and criminal institutions associated with him, the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC), and other officials of the regime,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/human-rights\/20332-iran-execution-and-chopping-fingers-on-charge-of-robbery\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"alternate noopener noreferrer\">the NCRI statement added<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NCRI &ndash; Iranian workers in Fereydunkenar and Babolsar, northern Iran, are facing an economic crisis, according to a member of the Iranian regime&rsquo;s Majlis (Parliament) from their cities.
