NCRI – The following text is an extract from the writings of political prisoner, Saleh Kohandel, who has sent yet another brave message of resistance from behind bars in Iran\u2019s notorious Gohardasht (Rajai-Shahr) Prison in Karaj, north-west of Tehran. His new open letter this week comes following the major \u201cFree Iran\u201d rally held on July 9 in Paris by supporters of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI or MEK):<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u201cMy greetings to the generation that has put up with the hardships of resistance to bring happiness and peace. My greetings to you who sacrifice yourselves for the sake of human beings. You feel indebted to your people, unlike the ruling mullahs in Iran. The mullahs have mostly betrayed the people and yet they are treating them like they are the ones who are owed.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
And a thousand greetings to those who endeavored to make precious moments while the mullahs were stealing and looting from the people of Iran. I thank God who has granted us the best values and he has made our enemies as thieves, devils, and tricksters.<\/p>\n
\u00a0It is proven that whoever devotes and sacrifices everything in the path of freedom and liberation, undoubtedly he will be rewarded back. If sacrificing didn\u2019t have its own rewards then what would be the purpose of life and living? What would be the reason for the existence of a just God?<\/p>\n
\u00a0Can we describe the good deeds of the devoted people while disappointment and frustration have cast their dominance in Iran and the region? All people are waiting desperately for a miracle to happen so that the current critical situation improves.<\/p>\n
\u00a0The precious moments – the good deeds – have not been made accidentally or temporarily. The great (PMOI founder) Hanif, (Iranian Resistance leader) Masoud, Maryam (Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance), and Mousa (Khiabani \u2013 martyred PMOI leader) are the gardeners of a garden who irrigate the thousand warriors with their blood and by no means will they surrender.<\/p>\n
\u00a0We have to consider that if the PMOI had not resisted, if the courageous prisoners such as [Ali] Saremi, [Gholamreza] Khosravi, [Mohammad-Ali] Haji Aghai had not been executed at the gallows, if people such as Sedigheh Mojaveri and Neda Hassani had not been martyred, our Resistance certainly would have never survived. We would have vanished into thin air.<\/p>\n
\u00a0It is natural that the nocturnal owls, which always resort to the darkness for survival, will hit the walls in a mad manner by seeing the sign of sunrise.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
