There are less smuggled foreign clothes being seen in Isfahan these days.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He added: \u201cOne of the plans currently underway is the rounding up of open-front coats (manteaux) with designer patters from clothes stores\u201d in the city.<\/p>\n<p>He said that sting operations by the regime\u2019s so-called \u201cmorality police\u201d are continuing throughout the city. \u201cCurrently joint inspections are being carried out in the mornings and afternoons until all the areas have been inspected.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In recent days, the regime\u2019s police have stepped up their repressive measures against women in Iran.<\/p>\n<p>Iran&#8217;s fundamentalist regime <a href=\"http:\/\/ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/women\/20772-women-arrested-in-iran-for-riding-bicycles-in-public\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"alternate noopener noreferrer\">on Tuesday arrested<\/a> a group of women for riding bicycles in public in the north-western city of Marivan, in Iran\u2019s Kurdistan Province.<\/p>\n<p>The incident took place on July 26 as a group of women were planning to participate in a sports event to cycle from the city&#8217;s Stadium Square to the Zaribar Lake.<\/p>\n<p>According to eye-witness accounts, suppressive state security forces (police) approached the women and girls and informed them that based on a new government directive cycling by women in public places is barred and considered \u201cunlawful.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The suppressive forces demanded that the women and girls sign written pledges to not repeat their &#8220;violation&#8221; of cycling in public.<\/p>\n<p>Several of the women who protested the regime&#8217;s new misogynist measure were taken into custody, witnesses said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NCRI &ndash; The Iranian regime is stepping up pressure on clothes production and distribution lines in a renewed drive to swoop out clothing deemed to be un-Islamic and incompatible with [&#8230;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":46444,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[16],"tags":[175],"class_list":{"0":"post-20793","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-women","8":"tag-updated"},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
