NCRI – Saudi Arabia\u2019s Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir said on Wednesday the Iranian regime-allied Houthi militias would not be allowed to take over Yemen.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Reuters in Beijing, Jubeir said the ball was in the Houthis\u2019 court to resume peace talks.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat is certain, not questionable, certain, they will not be allowed to take over Yemen. Period. So the legitimate government will be defended,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe chance they have is to enter the political process, reach an agreement \u2026 for the benefit of all Yemenis including the Houthis,\u201d the foreign minister said.<\/p>\n
Speaking earlier to students at a Beijing university, Jubeir lambasted the Iranian regime.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe see Iran supporting Houthis in Yemen and trying to take over the government, supply weapons to the Houthis, smuggle explosives to Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe wish we could be as good neighbors like before the 1979 revolution,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
