A large number of people were arrested and transferred to unknown locations. The repressive police spokesman informed that 300 protesters had been arrested. The real number of those arrested is even greater. Condemning the attack on protesters and mass and arbitrary arrests, the Iranian Resistance calls the Secretary-General and the United Nations Security Council and the member states, the European Union and its member countries, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and Human Rights Council as well as other international human rights organizations to take urgent action for the release of last night detainees and all prisoners of uprising. 2- US National Security Adviser Argues That Investing in Iran Is '"Cutting a Cheque" to Terrorists Donald Trump’s national security adviser H.R. McMaster said that investing in Iran is like “cutting a cheque” to the country’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, which is designated as a terrorist organisation by the US Treasury. Speaking at the Munich Security Conference on Saturday, McMaster said: “When you’re investing in Iran, you’re investing in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps [IRGC], a military entity that’s intertwined in the Iranian economy and has drawn US sanctions. You might as well cut the IRGC a cheque.” In this speech, it is believed that McMaster was calling out US allies Germany, Japan and South Korea for their investments in Iran. 3- The US Proposes New Plan to Tackle Flaws in Iran Nuclear Deal The US has devised a plan to improve the 2015 Iranian nuclear deal over time with the help of Germany, France and Britain, in exchange for the US not withdrawing from the pack and renewing sanctions relief in May. Under this plan, the US would ask for fewer modifications than it did in January, but would still insist that Iran’s development of ballistic missiles is targeted, the inspections of Iran’s nuclear facilities are expanded, and the sunset clauses, which allow nuclear restrictions to expire, are removed. These problems would not amend the existing nuclear deal, so Iran has no reason to walk away from that, but would deal with the problems in a supplemental agreement. 4- Iran: Women stage protests in Sanandaj, Tehran, Izeh Teachers of Sanandaj, men and women who were expelled from their jobs on unfounded allegations in 1979-1981 staged a protest outside the Governorate of Kurdistan on Sunday, February 18, 2018. McMaster said that investing in Iran is like “cutting a cheque” to the country’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, which is designated as a terrorist organisation by the US Treasury.Speaking at the Munich Security Conference on Saturday, McMaster said: “When you’re investing in Iran, you’re investing in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps , a military entity that’s intertwined in the Iranian economy and has drawn US sanctions. You might as well cut the IRGC a cheque.”In this speech, it is believed that McMaster was calling out US allies Germany, Japan and South Korea for their investments in Iran.3- The US Proposes New Plan to Tackle Flaws in Iran Nuclear DealThe US has devised a plan to improve the 2015 Iranian nuclear deal over time with the help of Germany, France and Britain, in exchange for the US not withdrawing from the pack and renewing sanctions relief in May.Under this plan, the US would ask for fewer modifications than it did in January, but would still insist that Iran’s development of ballistic missiles is targeted, the inspections of Iran’s nuclear facilities are expanded, and the sunset clauses, which allow nuclear restrictions to expire, are removed. These problems would not amend the existing nuclear deal, so Iran has no reason to walk away from that, but would deal with the problems in a supplemental agreement.4- Iran: Women stage protests in Sanandaj, Tehran, IzehTeachers of Sanandaj, men and women who were expelled from their jobs on unfounded allegations in 1979-1981 staged a protest outside the Governorate of Kurdistan on Sunday, February 18, 2018.The teachers demand their past-due wages, elimination of discrimination in their jobs, making official the employment of contract teachers, and let the expelled teachers go back to work. Some 100 managers of kindergartens in Tehran staged a protest outside the Labor Ministry against a memorandum signed between the Welfare Organization and the Education Ministry on Sunday, February 18, 2018.
