Avaie should instead be brought before an International tribunal to answer for the crimes that he has been involved with in the past three decades.\u201d 4- Strikes in Protest to Closure of Border Markets of Iran The strike by marketers and shopkeepers in the Iranian Kurdistan cities of Baneh and Piranshahr, who had gone on strike on Saturday February 24 in protest of closing border markets, continued on Monday for the third day. Marketers and shopkeepers in Sardasht also joined the strike on Monday, February 26, and refused to open their shops. The mullahs\u2019 regime, in fear of spreading the strike to other strata of the population, deployed a large number of riot guards, intelligence agents and plainclothes agents in different parts of these cities. 5- Iran: Promoting unveiling is punished by 1 to 10 years in jail The State Security Force announced, \u201cAccording to paragraph 2 of Article 639, encouraging people to shun the veil is punishable by one to 10-year prison sentence. This sentence cannot be transformed to other forms of punishment.\u201d The SSF added, \u201cThis is a case of obvious crime and the police is obliged to deal with it, just as breaking the law requires police intervention all over the world.
