NCRI – The misogynous regime of Iran in a repressive action sealed 825 shops in Tehran under the pretext of unconventional clothing.<\/p>\n
According to state-run ISNA news agency on September 6, Pasdar (Revolutionary Guard) Saeed Montazer Al-Mehdi, the Police spokesman said: \u201cOn July 12 of this year, the issue of banning the production of unconventional manteau (coat) in Tehran by the head of the Union of clothing, board members of greater Tehran was discussed, reviewed and approved and all shops were notified of the ban on the production, sale and display these clothes, especially coats.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cBased on the approved decisions, it was agreed that a week after notification of Tehran’s clothing Union about the approved decision regarding collection and removal of immodest clothes, including unconventional coats, the plan would be implemented with the help of the Union\u2019s auditors within 10 days, and the shops and production units of offenders would be sealed,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn this plan which was implemented in all provinces, 3627 offending shops were identified and warnings were issued for them. Among these units, 825 units ignored the notices and were sealed,\u201d Pasdar Montazer Al-Mehdi said.<\/p>\n
The police spokesman also noted that previous repressive measures and added: \u201c”Prior to this, the police of grand premises in Tehran visited these places on May 15 of this year and 406 of the 1498 places that were visited had some problems and 206 notice of seal were issued the violators.\u201d<\/p>\n
Earlier, the heads of police in Shiraz had threatened the shops with repressive measures. On September 1, Pasdar Mousa Hassani, public security police chief in Fars province, said: \u201cWe will implement the plan to deal with the sale of unconventional clothing in the city of Shiraz. The unconventional clothing includes fuzzy and torn jeans for men and women, clothing with logo and banner or flag of foreign countries, vulgar manteau and sweatshirts, leggings, transparent and short clothing without buttons and with foreign writings on them.\u201d<\/p>\n
This repressive revolutionary guard said: \u201cIn this plan, the discovered unconventional clothing will be collected and destroyed and in addition to sealing the trade unit, the owner and operating staff will be dealt with according to law and cases against them will be formed and sent to the General and Revolutionary Courts in Shiraz.\u201d<\/p>\n
It should be pointed out that these repressive and misogynistic measures by the police and security forces are meant to intimidate the public and create atmosphere of fear in the society.<\/p>\n
