{"id":212094,"date":"2020-02-04T22:21:58","date_gmt":"2020-02-04T22:21:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/?p=212094"},"modified":"2023-01-21T18:37:16","modified_gmt":"2023-01-21T17:37:16","slug":"iran-rouhani-led-a-campaign-of-lying-regarding-shooting-down-of-ukrainian-passenger-jet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/terrorism-a-fundamentalism\/iran-rouhani-led-a-campaign-of-lying-regarding-shooting-down-of-ukrainian-passenger-jet\/","title":{"rendered":"Iran: Rouhani Led a Campaign of Lying Regarding Shooting Down of Ukrainian Passenger Jet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Hassan Rouhani Led a Campaign of Lying Regarding Shooting Down of Ukrainian Passenger Jet by the IRGC in Iran\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Hassan_Rouhani_Led_a_Campaign_of_Lying_Regarding_Shooting_Down_of_Ukrainian_Passenger_Jet_by_the_IRGC_in_Iran.jpg\" alt=\"Iran: Rouhani Led a Campaign of Lying Regarding Shooting Down of Ukrainian Passenger Jet \" \/><\/p>\n<p><small><strong>Hassan Rouhani Led a Campaign of Lying Regarding Shooting Down of Ukrainian Passenger Jet by the IRGC in Iran<\/strong><\/small><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ncr-iran.org\/en\/ncri-statements\/terrorism-fundamentalism\/27328-ukraine-tv-disclosure-proves-rouhani-knew-of-airliner-s-crash\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ukrainian\u00a0television channel, TSN,\u00a0has\u00a0revealed<\/a>\u00a0shocking evidence about the\u00a0Iranian regime\u2019s\u00a0shooting down\u00a0of\u00a0a Ukrainian airliner, killing all 176 passengers aboard.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This evidence is an audio file of the conversation\u00a0between\u00a0the co-pilot on\u00a0Aseman\u00a0Airlines flight 3768, during its landing approach at Tehran\u2019s airport, and the control tower, simultaneous with\u00a0the\u00a0departure of Ukrainian International Airline flight 752 and its\u00a0subsequent downing by\u00a0two\u00a0missiles.<\/p>\n<p>This shocking evidence once again confirms\u00a0the Iranian\u00a0regime\u2019s top officials,\u00a0especially its president Hassan Rouhani, were\u00a0aware\u00a0of this incident.<\/p>\n<p>The control towers in Iran are under the regime\u2019s\u00a0Civil Aviation Organization (CAO)\u00a0which is an agency of the Ministry of Roads and Urban development and\u00a0by extension Rouhani.\u00a0Even though\u00a0he was immediately informed about this horrific crime,\u00a0Rouhani waited for 72 hours before announcing\u00a0it,\u00a0and during his announcement,\u00a0he\u00a0claimed\u00a0he wasn\u2019t aware\u00a0of the incident\u00a0until\u00a0the morning of\u00a0Saturday,\u00a0January 11.<\/p>\n<p>In the recording, the dispatcher at the\u00a0control\u00a0tower addresses\u00a0the\u00a0pilot of the\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/iran-world\/27198-u-s-confirms-iran-regime-s-role-in-shooting-down-ukrainian-airplane\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ukrainian airliner<\/a>\u00a0in English and gives him instructions, then talks to the pilot of Iran&#8217;s\u00a0Aseman\u00a03768 flight in Persian. The Iranian co-pilot asks if the flight area is &#8220;active,&#8221; meaning if the flight zone is safe. The response of the dispatcher is garbled and inaudible. Then Iranian pilot is heard saying\u00a0he can see &#8220;some lights, they look like missiles\u00a0Is something happening?&#8221;\u00a0Previously in another shameless lie, Rouhani\u2019s spokesperson, Ali\u00a0Rabiee, falsely claimed that the government was told of the cause of the crash on the afternoon of January 10, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the regime\u2019s Minister of Roads and Transportation Mohammad Eslami claimed that a \u201ctechnical defect\u201d was the reason for the airliner crash. \u201cRumor about a terror attack, explosion, or shooting toward the plane as the reason for the incident and crashing of\u00a0the Ukrainian airliner are wrong and a \u2019technical defect\u2019 was the reason,\u201d ISNA quoted Eslami as saying on January 8. On Thursday morning, the spokesman of the regime\u2019s Ministry of Roads and Transportation Qassem Biniaz claimed, \u201cThe reason for the airliner crash was one of its engines catching fire.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On January 11, IRGC\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ncr-iran.org\/en\/ncri-statements\/terrorism-fundamentalism\/27210-the-reluctant-confession-of-irgc-s-aerospace-force-commander-continuation-of-the-regime-s-lies-and-deception\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brig. Gen. Amir Ali Hajizadeh<\/a>,\u00a0the Aerospace Force commander,\u00a0stated that\u00a0on the morning of Wednesday, January 8, immediately after the downing of the plane, he had informed \u201cofficials\u201d that the plane had been shot down by friendly fire. This means\u00a0the regime\u2019s Supreme Leader Ali\u00a0Khamenei\u00a0and Rouhani were informed about this incident.<\/p>\n<p>These facts once again\u00a0prove\u00a0that the regime\u2019s top official, like Khamenei and Rouhani,\u00a0were intending to\u00a0misguide the international community and decline answering for their crime against humanity\u00a0via staging an orchestrated campaign of lies and fabrications.<\/p>\n<p>The regime\u2019s crime in downing a passenger jet was followed by nationwide protests, with Iranian students at their forefront. The protesters targeted the regime in its entirety in their slogans and specially called Rouhani and Khamenei liars and the main culprits of this crime. Protesters once again called for the regime\u00a0to be overthrown.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs.\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/maryam-rajavi\/14237-maryam-rajavi\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, the President-elect of\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ncr-iran.org\/en\/alternative\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI)<\/a>, called the incident yet another\u00a0\u201cMajor crime perpetrated by the clerical regime, which the Iranian people will neither forgive, nor forget. The main culprits are Khamenei, Rouhani, and IRGC commanders, who must be prosecuted and punished for this horrific crime.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"gtx-trans\" style=\"position: absolute; left: 283px;
