{"id":212374,"date":"2020-01-27T20:27:28","date_gmt":"2020-01-27T20:27:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/?p=212374"},"modified":"2023-01-21T21:51:58","modified_gmt":"2023-01-21T20:51:58","slug":"ncri-and-mek-supporters-organize-worldwide-protests-in-solidarity-with-iran-protests-and-iraq-protests","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/uncategorized\/ncri-and-mek-supporters-organize-worldwide-protests-in-solidarity-with-iran-protests-and-iraq-protests\/","title":{"rendered":"NCRI and MEK Supporters Organize Worldwide Protests in Solidarity With Iran Protests and Iraq Protests"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"NCRI and MEK Supporters rally in different countries in solidarity with Iran protests\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/NCRI_and_MEK_Supporters_rally_in_different_countries_in_solidarity_with_Iran_protests.jpg\" alt=\"NCRI and MEK Supporters Organize Worldwide Protests in Solidarity With Iran Protests and Iraq Protests \" \/><\/p>\n<p><small><strong>NCRI and MEK Supporters rally in different countries in solidarity with Iran protests<\/strong><\/small><\/p>\n<p>Written by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/component\/contact\/contact\/3?Itemid=490\">Mahmoud Hakamian<\/a>\u00a0on\u00a027 January 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Iranians, supporters of\u00a0Iran\u2019s main opposition group,\u00a0the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/pmoi-mek\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI, Mujahedin-e Khalq or MEK)<\/a>,\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ncr-iran.org\/en\/alternative\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the National Council of Resistance of Iran<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/ncr-iran.org\/en\/alternative\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00a0(NCRI)<\/a>\u00a0gathered in\u00a0recent days in\u00a0various\u00a0capitals across the world, expressing their solidarity with the nationwide Iran protests.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/pmoi-mek\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MEK\u00a0<\/a>and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ncr-iran.org\/en\/alternative\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NCRI\u00a0<\/a>supporters staged protests gatherings in\u00a0Canada,\u00a0the\u00a0Netherlands,\u00a0Sweden, Denmark, and Austria, chanting slogans in support of the Iranian people\u2019s uprising and echoing\u00a0their desire for regime change.<br \/>\n<br \/>https:\/\/twitter.com\/4FreedominIran\/status\/1221410437511680000<\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0Amsterdam, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/pmoi-mek\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MEK\u00a0<\/a>and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ncr-iran.org\/en\/alternative\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NCRI\u00a0<\/a>supporters\u00a0chanted slogans such as\u00a0\u201cWe will not back down, instead of fight on for our freedom.\u201d They also paid tribute to over 1500 martyrs of the Iran protests and 120,000 brave souls fallen for freedom within the last\u00a0four\u00a0decades,\u00a0by\u00a0installing\u00a0a huge\u00a0banner with the pictures of many martyrs. They also held a banner\u00a0exposing the regime\u2019s so-called \u201cmoderate\u201d President Hassan Rouhani\u2019s crimes during his tenure from 2013 until now.\u00a0The\u00a0banner read, \u201cDuring Rouhani\u2019s\u00a0tenure, there have been at\u00a0least\u00a04,000\u00a0executions\u2026 and at least 7500 grave dwellers.\u201d<br \/>\n<br \/>https:\/\/twitter.com\/4FreedominIran\/status\/1221173186215186432<\/p>\n<p>In Sweden, the MEK and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ncr-iran.org\/en\/alternative\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NCRI\u00a0<\/a>supporters held signs and chanted slogans\u00a0in solidarity with the arisen people of Iran.\u00a0Iranian Canadians, supporters of the NCRI and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/pmoi-mek\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MEK<\/a>, were out in the snow\u00a0calling for\u00a0the\u00a0mullahs to be brought to justice for their crimes against humanity and demanded the immediate release of all detained protesters.\u00a0They held different signs\u00a0with calls on\u00a0the international community, particularly\u00a0Canada,\u00a0including those\u00a0which\u00a0read, \u201cBlacklist Iran\u2019s Revolutionary Guards and\u00a0Ministry of Intelligence,\u201d\u00a0and,\u00a0\u201cFree\u00a0Political Prisoners in Iran.\u201d<br \/>\n<br \/>https:\/\/twitter.com\/4FreedominIran\/status\/1221117510323404800<\/p>\n<p>The Iranians and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/pmoi-mek\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MEK\u00a0<\/a>and NCRI supporters\u00a0also voiced\u00a0their support\u00a0for\u00a0the Iraqi people\u2019s uprising against the Iranian regime\u2019s deadly meddling in their country.\u00a0For example, Iranians and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ncr-iran.org\/en\/alternative\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NCRI\u00a0<\/a>and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/pmoi-mek\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MEK\u00a0<\/a>supporters chanted slogans in Persian and Arabic in solidarity with both the Iran protests and the Iraqi people\u2019s uprising. They also called for regime change in Iran.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Iranians along with members of the Iraqi diaspora in Austria held a\u00a0protest\u00a0condemning the Iranian regime\u2019s deadly presence in Iraq and its continued violation of human rights in Iran.<\/p>\n<p>Since the beginning of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/iran-protests-2019\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">nationwide Iran protests in November<\/a>, the exiled Iranians,\u00a0especially the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/pmoi-mek\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MEK\u00a0<\/a>and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ncr-iran.org\/en\/alternative\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NCRI\u00a0<\/a>supporters,\u00a0have held various protests gatherings around the world echoing the voice of the Iranian people\u00a0and their demand for regime change.
