Iran: Malihei Haji Hosni was the 105th woman to be executed under Hassan Rouhani Tenure.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Iranian regime has executed a woman by the name\u00a0of\u00a0Maliheh\u00a0Haji\u00a0Hassani, bringing the number of women executed during\u00a0under\u00a0Hassan Rouhani\u2019s Presidency\u00a0to 105,\u00a0the\u00a0Women\u2019s Committee\u00a0of the\u00a0National\u00a0Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI)\u00a0<\/a>reported on January 18.<\/p>\n

Maliheh\u00a0Haji\u00a0Hassani\u00a0was\u00a0hanged on Tuesday, January 14, 2020,\u00a0in\u00a0Adilabad\u00a0Prison\u00a0in\u00a0Shiraz. She was 29 years of age and was arrested in 2016 for\u00a0allegedly killing her fianc\u00e9.<\/p>\n

The Iranian regime has so-far\u00a0not\u00a0announced Haji\u00a0Hassani\u2019s\u00a0execution.\u00a0On the same day, another woman named Sara M. was executed in Mashhad Prison, the state-run\u00a0Rokna\u00a0news agency reported on January 14, 2020.<\/p>\n

Sara M. was executed after spending three years in prison on death row.<\/p>\n

In 2019,\u00a0the\u00a0Iranian\u00a0regime hanged\u00a0at least 16 women\u00a0simultaneous\u00a0with increasing suppression and executions in Iran. In three weeks of December 2019 alone, six women were executed in various Iranian prisons.<\/p>\n
