Earlier this morning,\u00a0Amir Ali\u00a0Hajizadeh, commander of the\u00a0IRGC\u2019s Aerospace Force,\u00a0(one of the five IRGC branches),\u00a0reluctantly\u00a0admitted the downing of the Ukrainian airliner by the IRGC.<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0“When I was informed, I immediately informed the authorities on Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n

I was in the west of the country and immediately came to Tehran. I called the authorities on the way and told them what has happened. I told them that there is a high probability that we have struck our own aircraft. I repeat again, as I was informed in the first hour, I informed the authorities.”<\/p>\n

This\u00a0makes it abundantly clear\u00a0that Khamenei and Rouhani were aware of the downing of the aircraft by the IRGC from the very first hours. But\u00a0after\u00a0a\u00a072-hour\u00a0delay, and\u00a0following\u00a0extensive domestic and\u00a0international\u00a0pressure, they outrageously claimed that they\u00a0had been\u00a0informed today or yesterday. This shows that the regime’s leaders are continuing their lies and\u00a0concealment.<\/p>\n

The regime had given advance warning about its missile attack on American bases to the Iraqi government & its military & through them to the US. But did not issue any advance notice to our compatriots & did not cancel passenger flights #Iran<\/a><\/p>\n

Earlier, Ali\u00a0Rabi’i,\u00a0Rouhani\u2019s Spokesman\u00a0and a former deputy\u00a0Intelligence Minister, Ali\u00a0Abedzadeh, head of the Civil Aviation Organization,\u00a0Hessamuddin\u00a0Ashna, a\u00a0former deputy\u00a0Intelligence\u00a0Minister\u00a0and Rouhani’s political adviser, and Mohammad\u00a0Islami, the regime’s Minister of Road and Urban Development, categorically denied the downing of the Ukrainian plane and dismissed it as a technical failure.<\/p>\n

Ali\u00a0Rabiee\u00a0described the\u00a0reports on firing on\u00a0the plane as a psychological operation by the US government. “No missile has hit the plane … if any object would have hit it,\u00a0there would have been an explosion\u00a0in the air and the pieces should have\u00a0scattered in wider area,” said Ali\u00a0Abedzadeh.\u00a0Hesamuddin\u00a0Ashna\u00a0brazenly\u00a0warned\u00a0reporters to “refrain from participating in\u00a0psychological warfare over the Ukrainian plane and\u00a0stop cooperating with those who are fighting with Iran.” Mohammed\u00a0Islami\u00a0emphasized: “Rumors that … the plane was shot … is not correct and the technical problem was the cause of the accident”<\/p>\n

Mrs.\u00a0Maryam Rajavi,<\/a>\u00a0the\u00a0President-elect of\u00a0the\u00a0National Council of\u00a0<\/a>Resistance\u00a0of Iran (NCRI)<\/a>,\u00a0emphasized\u00a0that the\u00a0ruling\u00a0religious fascism continues to\u00a0engage in deception and concealment\u00a0about the Ukrainian aircraft\u00a0and\u00a0called on the international community to intervene to\u00a0uncover\u00a0the details of this\u00a0horrific\u00a0crime and bring the perpetrators to justice. She said those responsible\u00a0were none\u00a0other than Khamenei as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces,\u00a0Rouhani\u00a0and the IRGC commanders. The same people\u00a0are responsible for the massacre of more than 1,500 youths and protesters in November.\u00a0\u00a0Two months\u00a0after\u00a0the uprising, they continue to\u00a0refuse\u00a0giving\u00a0the\u00a0actual death toll of the martyrs, the wounded and those arrested.<\/p>\n
