This afternoon,\u00a0large groups of people and students at Tehran<\/a>, Sharif Industrial, Amir Kabir, and Allameh universities staged demonstrations to protest against the downing of the\u00a0Ukrainian airliner<\/a>\u00a0by the IRGC.<\/p>\n

They chanted, \u201cdeath to the dictator,\u201d \u201cDeath to this murderous regime,\u201d \u201cDon\u2019t call us seditionist, you are the sedition, you the oppressor,\u201d \u201cDeath to this theocracy, for crimes in all these years,\u201d \u201cWe did not give our lives to compromise and praise the murderous leader,\u201d \u201cKhamenei shame on you, leave the country alone,\u201d \u201cIRGC shame on you, leave the country alone,\u201d \u201cHave no fear, we are all together,\u201d \u201cI will kill whoever killed my brother,\u201d and \u201c1,500 killed in November.\u201d<\/p>\n

By chanting, \u201cCommander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, resign, resign,\u201d the protesters called for the overthrow of Khamenei\u2019s regime. The suppressive forces attacked the protesters and tried to disperse them by firing teargas.<\/p>\n
