Wednesday, January 8, 2020, marks the 55th day since the beginning of the nationwide Iran protests.<\/p>\n

2019 was marked by\u00a0a\u00a0brutal crackdown on the Iranian society, according to the annual report\u00a0of a\u00a0leading\u00a0human rights\u00a0<\/a>group,\u00a0Iran Human Rights Monitor (Iran\u00a0<\/a>HRM), published<\/a>\u00a0on\u00a0Monday.<\/p>\n

In its annual report published on January 6, 2019, Iran HRM highlighted how the Iranian regime had\u00a0arrested and tortured hundreds of rights activists throughout 2019.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK)<\/a>\u00a0has identified 704 of the more than 1500 protesters killed by the regime so far.<\/p>\n

Mrs.\u00a0Maryam Rajavi<\/a>\u00a0has called on the United Nations to urgently send an international fact-finding mission to Iranian prisons to meet with the detainees.<\/p>\n
