On January\u00a04, 2020, the American Fox News broadcast a report about the activities of the Resistance Units of\u00a0the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI, Mujahedin-e Khalq or MEK)<\/a>\u00a0and the Iranian people\u2019s happiness after the death of the regime\u2019s chief terrorist\u00a0Qassem Soleimani<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Soleimani\u00a0<\/a>who was the chief of the Iranian regime\u2019s\u00a0terrorist\u00a0Islamic Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Quds Force was responsible for the death of hundreds of thousands of people in Iran and across the world.<\/p>\n

Mr. Eric Shawn, the host of the Fox News\u2019 \u201cAmerica\u2019s News HQ,\u201d read\u00a0a\u00a0statement\u00a0by\u00a0Mrs.\u00a0Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, the president-elect of\u00a0the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI)<\/a>,\u00a0over\u00a0Soleimani\u2019s\u00a0<\/a>elimination<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He quoted Mrs. Rajavi\u2019s statement\u00a0as\u00a0saying, \u201cQassem\u00a0Soleimani was one of the most vicious criminals of Iran\u2019s history.\u00a0The time has come for the victory of the Iraqi people\u2019s uprising and the liberation of Iraq from the Iranian regime\u2019s occupation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fox News\u00a0also\u00a0showed banners installed by the\u00a0MEK<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0Resistance\u00a0Units across Iran, with pictures of Mrs. Rajavi and Iranian\u00a0Resistance leader\u00a0Massoud Raj<\/a>a<\/a>vi<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The banners read, \u201cSoleimani\u2019s elimination expedites regime\u2019s overthrow,\u201d \u201cThe Iranian resistance has pledged to overthrow the regime,\u201d \u201cIran will be free through uprising and resistance units,\u201d and \u201cIRGC centers must be demolished.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Iranian people and the\u00a0MEK<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0Resistance\u00a0U<\/a>nits<\/a>, as well as the people of Iraq and Syria\u00a0are\u00a0rejoicing\u00a0the death of notorious general\u00a0Qassem<\/a>\u00a0Soleimani<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On January 3,\u00a0Qassem\u00a0Soleimani along with Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the head of Iraq’s suppressive\u00a0Bassij,\u00a0were\u00a0killed\u00a0in a\u00a0U.S.\u00a0military airstrike in Iraq.<\/p>\n

As Mrs. Rajavi has stated Soleimani \u201cwas personally involved in the massacre of hundreds of thousands of people in the region and in driving millions of others from their homes. He was also the mastermind of the massacre of the\u00a0Mujahedin-e Khalq (PMOI\/MEK)<\/a>\u00a0in Camp Ashraf in Iraq, and of many other terrorist operations against the Iranian Resistance in that country, in Iran, and in other countries.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mrs. Rajavi\u00a0added:\u00a0\u201cThe international community, especially the European Union, must end the policy of appeasement and recognize the right of the Iranian people to resist and rise for freedom to replace popular sovereignty in place of the mullahs\u2019 rule.\u201d<\/p>\n
