These revelations have infuriated the Iranian regime\u2019s officials who have been trying to cover up the true dimensions of this crisis. On March 3, 2020, the\u00a0<\/span>IRIB<\/span><\/a>,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>the official news agency of the regime, in an outrageous lie, claimed that there has been a \u201cRiot in MEK\u2019s Coronavirus stricken camp in Albania.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe discriminatory behavior of different layers within the MEK has led to acts of personal revenge among members of the grouplet.\u00a0<\/span>This<\/span>\u00a0coupled with repression and lack of proper care provided to those infected with Coronavirus has led to a major riot in the camp. So far, there is no precise information on the casualties and damages,\u201d reads the IRIB piece adding:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u201cReliable reports say that MEK patients who have died because of Coronavirus are being buried in total silence and a news blackout in a piece of land designated for the victims of the virus.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In an interview with the\u00a0<\/span>s<\/span>tate-run IRNA news agency, Hamid\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Baidinejad<\/span><\/a>,\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>regime\u2019s ambassador to the United Kingdom<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0said: \u201cThe MEK\u2019s network an<\/span>d other opponents of the Islamic Republic\u00a0<\/span>outside Iran are\u00a0<\/span>willing to force us into a<\/span>n intellectual deadlock, by\u00a0<\/span>designing a news\u00a0<\/span>and media\u00a0<\/span>policy<\/span>,\u201d he continued, \u201cThe MEK members and\u00a0<\/span>the opposition\u2019s network<\/span>\u00a0have been\u00a0<\/span>pursuing<\/span>\u00a0a predesigned\u00a0<\/span>propaganda\u00a0<\/span>to\u00a0<\/span>induce\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0that [the regime] is<\/span>\u00a0on one hand in\u00a0<\/span>an international isolation and countries are not\u00a0<\/span>willing to send urgent aid to Iran and on the other hand\u00a0<\/span>[the regime] is ready to\u00a0<\/span>reject the<\/span>\u00a0international aid, even at the risk of losing lives of the people<\/span>. MEK\u2019s revelations receive vast media coverage\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Despite the regime\u2019s cover-up and its\u00a0<\/span>failed attempts to reject the MEK\u2019s revelations of the Coronavirus death\u00a0<\/span>toll,\u00a0<\/span>international media outlets have published the actual number announced by\u00a0<\/span>the MEK.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In its article published on Monday, the\u00a0<\/span>Washington Times<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span>referred to the MEK\u2019s announcement of the COVID-19 death tally which exceed<\/span>ed<\/span>\u00a01000 people and wrote: \u201cMEK said that a citizen sentenced to death for his part in the November street protests has contracted the disease. MEK said there have been 300 deaths in the city of Qom and 209 in Tehran.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Breitbart<\/span><\/a>, while\u00a0<\/span>referring to<\/span>\u00a0the MEK\u2019s earlier announcement of the Coronavirus death toll, as of Sunday, which\u00a0<\/span>had exceeded<\/span>\u00a0650, wrote: \u201cThe\u202fPeople\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK), which\u00a0<\/span>advocates against the Islamic revolutionary regime internationally, announced in a press release Monday that, using its sources within hospitals in the country, it estimated that as many as 650 people had died in Iran since the outbreak there began in February. A little less than half of those deaths, about 300, allegedly occurred in Qom, the city to first confirm a case of novel coronavirus, PMOI\/MEK officials stated.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As Mrs. Maryam Rajavi had stated earlier:\u00a0<\/span>\u201cThe only thing that matters for this regime and its officials is to keep their grip on power. People\u2019s lives, health, and resources have no value for the ruling mullahs. The Iranian people have suffered the greatest damage and losses under their rule, as a result of external war, domestic repression, poverty, unemployment, and illnesses.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This has not only<\/span>\u00a0spread the COVID-19 among the Iranians, but it has also turned Iran to the epicenter of this virus<\/span>, from where it has reportedly spread to<\/span>\u00a0different countries, such as Canada, Norway,\u00a0<\/span>Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Australia,\u00a0<\/span>and\u00a0<\/span>Kuwait<\/span>. In this regard,\u00a0<\/span>the New York Times wrote on February 28: \u201cInfections in neighboring countries and even some as far as Canada, Norway and New Zealand have been traced to Iran.\u201d The Associated Press also reported: \u201cAll of Bahrain\u2019s cases link back to Iran.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Therefore, a<\/span>s Mrs. Maryam Rajavi has said: \u201cThe United Nations, World Health Organization, and other international human rights organizations must compel the religious fascism ruling Iran to make public all the facts and figures regarding COVID-19 and provide them to relevant international organizations in order to save the lives of the people of Iran and other countries in the region.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The UN, the World Health Organization and other int\u2019l #HumanRights<\/a> organizations must compel the Iranian regime to provide all the facts and data on the spread of #COVID19<\/a> to the public and int\u2019l orgs to protect the lives and health of the people of #Iran<\/a> and other countries<\/p>\n
