As the\u00a0coronavirus<\/a>\u00a0continues to claim\u00a0<\/span>more lives in Iran, reports from Iran indicate\u00a0<\/span>that instead\u00a0<\/span>of\u00a0<\/span>taking necessary measures,\u00a0<\/span>the Iranian regime,\u00a0<\/span>in line with its criminal cover-up and downplaying<\/span>\u00a0of<\/span>\u00a0this crisis, has declared\u00a0<\/span>an unofficial martial law\u00a0<\/span>across Iran.<\/span><\/p>\n

Reports and footages from Iran, obtained by the\u00a0People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI, Mujahedin-e Khalq or MEK)<\/a><\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>show the Iranian regime dispatching military\u00a0<\/span>troops\u00a0<\/span>to different parts of Iran to counter possible public outrage\u00a0<\/span>over\u00a0<\/span>the regime\u2019s inaction in\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>face of the coronavirus outbreak which\u00a0<\/span>has\u00a0<\/span>thus far<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>claimed<\/span>\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0lives of over\u00a04,900 people<\/a><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Brig. Gen.\u00a0<\/span>Gholamreza<\/span>\u00a0Jalali, head of the regime’s Passive Defense Organization, said on Sunday: “Beyond external threats, domestic threats, such as riots, revolutions, coups, famines, and pandemics can also endanger the security and stability of a state, causing its disintegration.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Terrified of a possible public outrage<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>to somehow<\/span>\u00a0control protests<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>continue its inaction in helping the Iranian people,\u00a0<\/span>the regime is using the coronavirus outbreak\u00a0<\/span>to imprison people\u00a0<\/span>in<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>their<\/span>\u00a0ho<\/span>mes\u00a0<\/span>by\u00a0<\/span>imposing an unofficial martial law<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>On Tuesday night the people will celebrate\u00a0<\/span>Charshanbe<\/span>\u00a0Suri, a<\/span>n Iranian festival celebrated on the eve of the last Wednesday before Nowruz (the Iranian New Year)<\/span>. Usually people use this opportunity to stage\u00a0<\/span>protests against<\/span>\u00a0the regime using fireworks and fire to confront suppressive forces<\/span>. Following the recent events Iran, from the nationwide Iran protests with over 1500 martyrs in November, the general boycott of the regime\u2019s sham parliamentary elections, the coronavirus outbreak and\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>regime\u2019s unprecedented\u00a0<\/span>international isolation<\/span>, the Iranian regime\u00a0<\/span>is much more closer to\u00a0<\/span>its downfall and any uprising in the scale of the November Iran protests w<\/span>ould\u00a0<\/span>end its rule. Therefore, the regime<\/span>\u00a0is more terrified of\u00a0<\/span>a popular uprising than the\u00a0<\/span>coronavirus and its impacts on the Iranian people.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Footages\u00a0<\/span>published by the MEK show\u00a0<\/span>the regime\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>16<\/span>th<\/span>\u00a0armored division from Qazvin<\/span>\u00a0being\u00a0<\/span>dispatched to<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Gilan<\/span>\u00a0province<\/span>, northern Iran, where\u00a0<\/span>over\u00a0<\/span>657 people have lost their lives\u00a0<\/span>due to the coronavirus outbreak and regime\u2019s inaction and cover-up<\/span>, which has caused\u00a0<\/span>social outrage.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In a similar development, and to<\/span>\u00a0counter growing public outrage over the regime’s criminal cover-up and\u00a0<\/span>inaction,\u00a0<\/span>the<\/span>\u00a0regime\u2019s supreme leader Ali\u00a0<\/span>Khamenei assigned Chief of the Staff of\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>regime\u2019s Armed Forces,\u00a0<\/span>Revolutionary Guards (IRGC)<\/span>\u00a0Major General Mohammad Bagheri, to form a “health command center” to prevent and treat Corona.\u00a0<\/span>Yet,\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>regime\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>real\u00a0<\/span>purpose<\/span>\u00a0is to prevent popular uprisings and protests.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On March 13,\u00a0<\/span>after the first meeting, Bagheri unveiled Khamenei\u2019s repressive intention<\/span>s and said<\/span>: “Our law enforcement and security committee, along with the interior ministry and governors will start evacuating shops, streets and roads … this will be organized in the next\u00a0<\/span>24<\/span>\u00a0hours.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Reacting to\u00a0<\/span>this<\/span>\u00a0repressive scheme, Mrs.\u00a0Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, the President-elect<\/span>\u00a0of the\u00a0National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI)<\/a>, said:\u00a0<\/span>\u201c<\/span>These futile efforts will intensify the Iranian people\u2019s anger and hatred over the despicable and oppressive\u00a0<\/span>velayat<\/span>-e faqih system, which has done nothing but committing murder and plundering people\u2019s wealth over the past 40 years. The Iranian people have stated unequivocally \u201cour enemy is here\u201d and \u201cKhamenei and Rouhani are our Coronavirus.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

Khamenei\u2019s claim about the possibility of a \u201cbiological attack\u201d is an unprofessional hoax intended to step up their plans for clampdown on society. These desperate efforts only add fuel to the Iranian people\u2019s anger and abhorrence towards the ominous clerical dictatorship. #Iran<\/a><\/p>\n

While in other countries, which are grappling with the coronavirus pandemic, the Governments\u00a0<\/span>and armed<\/span>\u00a0forces are at the service of people to control this virus, in Iran the Iranian regime uses military forces to oppress people and thwart a possible uprising.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These remarks once again\u00a0<\/span>confirm<\/span>\u00a0the regime has no intention\u00a0<\/span>of<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>help<\/span>ing\u00a0<\/span>the Iranian people and instead tries to\u00a0<\/span>avoid\u00a0<\/span>its imminent downfall\u00a0<\/span>by oppressing people\u00a0<\/span>and using military force.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
