Iran\u2019s regime is using coronavirus to torture political prisoners<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Iran\u2019s prisons and detention centers were one of the\u00a0most vulnerable centers hit by coronavirus\u00a0due to regime\u2019s criminal negligence.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to reports received from prisoners, especially those who are detained for political reasons in Fashafouyeh, Evin, Gohardasht, Ghezelhesar, Urumia, Sheyban Ahwaz and Kashan prison are infected to coronavirus.<\/p>\n

Instead of quarantine, they are taken to unknown places<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to regime officials, several prisons have much more inmates than their capacity allows. The halls and washrooms are filled with people. This is while the regime doesn\u2019t provide prisoners with the minimum facilities. There is no health masks and disinfectants. The prisoners in Ghezelhesar are even without soap and detergent.<\/p>\n

The Peoples Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK) announced this afternoon, Sunday, March 15, 2020, that the number of Coronavirus victims in 182 cities across Iran exceeds 4,900. In addition to other provinces, the number of victims in Tehran is 696, in Gilan 657, in Mazandaran 424, in Golestan 343, in Khuzestan 170, in Hamadan 44, in Ardabil 42, and in Kashan is 210.<\/p>\n
