They were also sentenced to pay the blood money for their involvement in assaulting and injuring law enforcement forces.<\/p>\n<p>It should be noted that the sentences are related to a gathering held by a group of people in Sardasht to protest against the death of Farinaz Khosravani in Mahabad\u2019s Tara Hotel. To avoid being sexually assaulted by an intelligence officer, Farinaz Khosravani threw herself from a window in the fourth floor of Mahabad\u2019s Tara Hotel on May 9, 2015, and died instantly. Following her forced suicide, a group of Sardasht people held a rally to condemn Khosravani\u2019s death, during which at least 12 protesters were arrested by the law enforcement forces.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NCRI &ndash;&nbsp;12 Sardasht citizens charged with disrupting public order and disobeying the law enforcement forces were sentenced to one year&rsquo; imprisonment by the regime&rsquo;s court in the city.
