NUMBER OF VICTIMS (AS OF MARCH 31, 2020, 6:00 PM CET):<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The\u00a0People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI)<\/a>\u00a0announced this afternoon, March 31, 2020, that Coronavirus has taken the lives of more than\u00a014,700<\/strong>\u00a0in 237 cities across Iran.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The death count in different provinces includes: 1,500 in Isfahan, 135 in Ilam, 1,900 in Tehran, 1,120 in Khorasan Razavi, 635 in Khuzestan, 280 in Zanjan, 240 in Zanjan, 240 in Kurdistan, 180 in Kerman, 400 in Kermanshah, 705 in Golestan, 1,060 in Mazandaran, 230 in Markazi, and 300 in Hamedan. This is in addition to the death toll in other provinces.<\/div>\n

New protest, riots in Iran\u2019s prisons<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Inmates of wards 12 and 15 in Tabriz Central Prison, located in northwest Iran, launched a protest rally on Monday night local time, March 30, after reports broadcast by the regime\u2019s state TV claiming other than dangerous prisoners all inmates in this facility have been released.<\/p>\n

The inmates in these two wards were heard shouting in one voice: \u201cWe are not dangerous, and yet we are in jail\u201d and \u201cShame on you! Shame on you!\u201d<\/p>\n

One source said the atmosphere in this facility is very tense and inmates could be heard protesting and shouting, \u201cShame on you!\u201d during a phone call.<\/p>\n
