News from<\/span>\u00a0Iran<\/span>\u00a0indicate<\/span>s<\/span>\u00a0that soldiers and armed forces are\u00a0<\/span>deserting their bases\u00a0<\/span>amid the coronavirus outbreak<\/span>. This indicates\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>regime\u2019s instability<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0and that the situation is out of its control.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On Wednesday night, <\/span>reports from Iran, published by the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran<\/a><\/span>\u00a0(PMOI\/MEK)<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0indicate<\/span>d<\/span>\u00a0that soldiers in the\u00a0<\/span>army\u2019s bases in\u00a0<\/span>U<\/span>rmia<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>i<\/span>n<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>north\u00a0<\/span>west\u00a0<\/span>Iran<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>deserted their base<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0Soldiers in\u00a0<\/span>Birjand<\/span>\u00a0in\u00a0<\/span>S<\/span>outh Khorasan\u00a0<\/span>P<\/span>rovince, eastern Iran, also\u00a0<\/span>escaped their base.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Reports from Iran indicate that i<\/span>n the past few days, in the\u00a0<\/span>P<\/span>a<\/span>randak<\/span>\u00a0garrison in Tehran, following the widespread\u00a0<\/span>coronavirus outbreak<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>around 400 soldiers have been diagnosed with this disease, and some of them have lost their lives.\u00a0<\/span>In addition, most of the personnel have left the\u00a0<\/span>Nouzeh<\/span>\u00a0Air Base in Hamadan, western Iran.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These developments are simultaneous\u00a0<\/span>with\u00a0<\/span>dozens of inmates breaking\u00a0<\/span>out of<\/span>\u00a0prisons across Iran<\/span>, amid the coronavirus outbreak, which according to the MEK has so far claimed<\/span>\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0lives of nearly 16,000 people.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

MEK<\/a> reports from Iran indicate that\u00a0<\/span>i<\/span>nmates of\u00a0<\/span>Sheyban<\/span>\u00a0Prison in the city of Ahvaz, located in Khuzestan Province<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0southwest Iran, launched a riot on Tuesday, March 31.\u00a0<\/span>Similarly, inmates of wards 12 and 15 in Tabriz Central Prison, located in northwest Iran, launched a protest rally on Monday night local time, March 30<\/span>. In addition, inmates in Adel Abad Prison of Shiraz, a major city in south-central Iran, launched a riot on Sunday night local time, March 29.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Domestic oppression and export of terrorism abroad are the regime\u2019s two pillars of existence.\u00a0<\/span>The regime\u2019s notorious prisons with\u00a0<\/span>various forms of tortures, and its oppressive military forces were\u00a0<\/span>very important<\/span>\u00a0tools of oppression.\u00a0<\/span>The military forces, particularly the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) have played a key role in\u00a0<\/span>implementing the regime\u2019s warmongering plans across the globe.\u00a0<\/span>The reports from Iran indicate that\u00a0<\/span>many of the IRGC\u00a0<\/span>task\u00a0<\/span>forces are\u00a0<\/span>demanding\u00a0<\/span>request to leave their bases.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The regim<\/span>e\u2019s rejecting to release prisoners or quarantine\u00a0<\/span>military forces\u00a0<\/span>or close their bases\u00a0<\/span>makes two points clear:<\/span>\u00a0Fi<\/span>r<\/span>st, the regime<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>doesn\u2019t care about\u00a0<\/span>people<\/span>\u00a0and even its own forces<\/span>\u2019<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>lives<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>resorts to\u00a0<\/span>any<\/span>\u00a0action only<\/span>\u00a0to prolong its\u00a0<\/span>life.\u00a0<\/span>Secondly, it is clearly in a deadlock<\/span>\u00a0and has no choice\u00a0<\/span>or solution.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The regime\u2019s inaction, cover-up and now its attitude toward the\u00a0<\/span>spread of virus across Iran, particularly in Iranian prisons and\u00a0<\/span>military bases rebukes\u00a0<\/span>a dirty campaign\u00a0<\/span>led by the regime\u2019s apologists that the sanctions should be blamed for the spread of the virus.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If the regime really cares about people\u2019s lives<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0why has<\/span>\u00a0it<\/span>\u00a0been continuing its cover-up and\u00a0<\/span>downplaying this crisis?\u00a0<\/span>Why\u00a0<\/span>has<\/span>\u00a0it<\/span>\u00a0rejected all the international help and expelled the Doctors Without Borders (MSF)\u00a0<\/span>while it\u00a0<\/span>keeps bragging about having\u00a0<\/span>enough\u00a0<\/span>medical\u00a0<\/span>equipment?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The answer is clear:\u00a0<\/span>After\u00a0<\/span>different events such as\u00a0<\/span>its deadly crackdown of the Iran protests in November with over 1500 martyrs<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>shooting down of an Ukrainian passenger jet and its subsequent protests, the general and unprecedented boycott of its sham\u00a0<\/span>parliamentary<\/span>\u00a0elections, the regime is fully aware that any social\u00a0<\/span>conflict or public anger\u00a0<\/span>could turn to an uprising\u00a0<\/span>and this uprising will lead to the regime\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>downfall.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As Mrs. Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, the president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI)<\/a> h<\/span>as said: \u201c<\/span>What has made our country seriously vulnerable in the face of diseases and natural disasters, is a brutal and pilfering dictatorship that does not hesitate to commit any imaginable crime to preserve its disgraceful rule<\/span>.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
