Shamkhani said on Monday: \u201cThe false argument of \u2018economy versus health\u2019 should not stop us. Physicians and workers are the two main pillars of the strategy to overcome the crisis.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the regime\u2019s Parliament blocked the tabling of an urgent high-priority motion for a month-long nationwide lockdown to prevent more deaths. Signed by 80 deputies, the motion opposed Hassan Rouhani\u2019s order to return people to work (by next week). It was blocked for \u201cviolating the constitution.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, this has not decreased the infighting between two rival factions. Each faction tries to blame the other to somehow not be subjected to the people\u2019s increasing hatred which will result in a popular uprising.<\/p>\n<p>Ahmad Moradi, a parliamentary deputy, told the state-run Mehr News Agency: \u201cWhen I read the president\u2019s remarks about labeling Hormozgan a clear (virus-free) Province, two hypotheses came to my mind: either he was given wrong information, or he made the remarks intentionally and carelessly. I think the second option is closer to reality \u2026 The president\u2019s decision and argument are wrong 100 percent.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Parvaneh Salahshouri, another member of the regime\u2019s parliament from Rouhani\u2019s faction, was quoted by the Arman state-run daily as saying: \u201cIn the parliament, we allocated $200 million to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/terrorism-fundamentalism\/26763-quds-force-s-arm-in-iraq-holy-shrines-reconstruction-headquarters\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Quds Force<\/a> in one day. Undoubtedly, in the current situation, maintaining people\u2019s health is more important than other issues.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, April 6, Hamid Souri, a member of regime\u2019s Coronavirus National task force, in an interview with the official news agency, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irna.ir\/news\/83740613\/%D9%87%D8%B4%D8%AF%D8%A7%D8%B1-%D8%B9%D8%B6%D9%88-%D8%B3%D8%AA%D8%A7%D8%AF-%DA%A9%D8%B1%D9%88%D9%86%D8%A7-%D8%AF%D8%B1%D8%A8%D8%A7%D8%B1%D9%87-%D8%B1%D8%B9%D8%A7%DB%8C%D8%AA-%D9%86%D8%B4%D8%AF%D9%86-%D9%81%D8%A7%D8%B5%D9%84%D9%87-%DA%AF%D8%B0%D8%A7%D8%B1%DB%8C-%D8%A7%D8%AC%D8%AA%D9%85%D8%A7%D8%B9%DB%8C\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IRNA<\/a>, said that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/member-of-irans-coronavirus-task-force-it-is-estimated-that-500000-people-in-iran-have-contracted-coronavirus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">over half a million people<\/a> in Iran have contracted the Coronavirus.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Member of <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Iran?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Iran<\/a>\u2019s Coronavirus Task Force: It Is Estimated That 500,000 People in Iran Have Contracted Coronavirus. <br \/>He said: &quot;The current estimate is that about 500,000 people in the country have infected with the coronavirus&quot; <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Covid_19?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Covid_19<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/CoronaVirusUpdate?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#CoronaVirusUpdate<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/TheHNGEckT\">https:\/\/t.co\/TheHNGEckT<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; NCRI-FAC (@iran_policy) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/iran_policy\/status\/1247250381844987904?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 6, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe initial estimate was that between 30 and 60 percent of the population would be infected with the disease\u2026 The current estimate is that about 500,000 people in the country have been infected with the coronavirus,\u201d Souri said adding: \u201cbut this is not an accurate figure because less-known cases and patients with milder symptoms have not been identified yet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Alireza Zali, head of Tehran\u2019s National Coronavirus Combat Taskforce (NCCT) told the state-run TV: \u201cWe had 28% growth in admissions to the ordinary sections, and 15% growth to the ICU in the last three days, while we have discharged fewer patients in recent days\u2026 We are still in an upward trend\u2026 Tehran\u2019s population is substantial and diverse\u2026our facilities cannot absorb such a volume.\u201d After a Tehran city council meeting, Zali told the state-run Fars News Agency: \u201cTehran is still one of the hotspots of the coronavirus outbreak, and there are almost no clear spots in the city because of the volume of intra-city traffic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The real threat for the regime, however, and the inevitable outcome of these infightings is a major popular uprising. In this regard, the state-run Iran-e Emrouz daily wrote on Tuesday: \u201cWe are going to have a major social upheaval after the Coronavirus is over. The situation is not going to be calm.
