As the coronavirus pandemic<\/a> continues to claim more lives in Iran,\u00a0<\/span>in another inhumane measure the Iranian regime has started to fire\u00a0<\/span>medical staff\u00a0<\/span>or leave them unequipped<\/span>, despite their ongoing sacrifices.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mohammad Mirza Beigi, the Director-General of the regime\u2019s Nursing System Organization, in a letter to the Minister of Health, Saeed Namaki, on Saturday, demanded the immediate review of the status of the fired nurses. <\/span>He called this action a rather \u201codd and unexpectable\u201d move<\/span>. Mirza\u00a0<\/span>Beigi<\/span>\u00a0said that some private hospitals, which are mainly affiliated to the regime\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>Revolutionary Guards (IRGC)<\/span><\/a>\u00a0or other suppressive organization<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>have fired or balanced these selfless nurses under the \u201cbogus claim\u201d of \u201cthe coronavirus consequences<\/span>.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to his letter,\u00a0<\/span>Mohammad\u00a0<\/span>Mirza<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>B<\/span>eigi<\/span>\u00a0told<\/span>\u00a0the state-run daily\u00a0<\/span>Etemad<\/span>:<\/span>\u00a0\u201c(In Iran), nurses are highly skilled both scientifically and technically. Their morale is so high that people are amazed, but our equipment is not enough. On the other hand, our numbers are very, very, very, very few. \u2026 The president has repeatedly promised to hire 20,000 nurses. About 5,000 to 6,000 have been hired so far, and 3,000 since the crisis. Our dear nurses are exhausted. Our situation was chronic before the Coronavirus outbreak, and now it is worse. \u2026 Their wages and overtime are usually delayed by an average of 12 months,\u201d he added.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Job insecurity has overshadowed more than 7,000 private sector nurses. Before the Corona crisis, private hospitals had high<\/span>er<\/span>\u00a0revenues through surgery, visits, and hospitalizations, and their tariffs were not comparable to those in the public sector. Now the situation is different; the patient’s admission cycle is minimal, and operations are almost closed.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Since the coronavirus<\/span>\u00a0outbreak in\u00a0<\/span>Iran,<\/span>\u00a0the regime has been conducting a criminal cover-up<\/span>. For this reason, officials have been\u00a0<\/span>arresting<\/span><\/a> or threatening the medical staff who tell the truth about the virus<\/span>\u2019<\/span>\u00a0dimensions.\u00a0 For example, Dr. Rahim\u202f<\/span>Yousefpour<\/span>\u202ffrom the city of\u202f<\/span>Saqqez<\/span>\u202fin Kurdistan Province was summoned by the regime\u2019s judicial authorities. He had to report in on Sunday, April 5<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI warned about Covid-19 a month ago. For this reason, the authorities summoned me eight times. I\u202f<\/span>have to<\/span>\u202fappear in court for telling the truth\u2026 If you don\u2019t see me again, it\u2019s not because of being infected with coronavirus or a road accident,\u201d he said in a video published online.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Since the coronavirus outbreak in Iran, hundreds of the medical staff\u00a0<\/span>have lost their lives<\/span><\/a>, yet the regime does nothing to help them.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In this regard, Mrs.\u202f<\/span>Maryam Rajavi<\/span><\/a>, the\u202f<\/span>N<\/span>ational\u00a0<\/span>C<\/span>ouncil of\u00a0<\/span>R<\/span>esistance of\u00a0<\/span>I<\/span><\/a>ran<\/span>\u2019s president-elect,\u202fhas\u202foffered her condolences on the loss of lives and hailed the nation\u2019s doctors and nurses for their sacrifices despite all limitations imposed by the ruling religious fascism.\u202f\u201cThey are symbols of pride for the Iranian nation,\u201d\u202fshe said.\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
