Student Day Protests \u2013 No. 3
Universities across the country marked Students Day on December 6th<\/p>\n
In Tehran students of Amir Kabir Tech University staged their protest rally despite Bassij paramilitary forces attempting to prevent them. The rally witnessed slogans including, \u201cRelease all political prisoners and imprisoned workers,\u201d \u201cStudents do not belong in prison,\u201d \u201cNo to administrative corruption,\u201d \u201cRelease Nargis Mohammadi,\u201d \u201cStudents rather die than succumb to abjection.\u201d In the Sharif Tech University students held a rally and chanted, \u201cRelease all political prisoners.\u201d<\/p>\n
Students of Science & Industrial University also held a rally, chanting, \u201cEvin Prison accepts students,\u201d \u201cMy dear Kianush, we continue your path,\u201d \u201cI hate chains.\u201d They also raised posters written, \u201cJailed students must be release,\u201d \u201cDuration law must be cancelled.\u201d Students of Teachers Training University raised placards written, \u201cWe demand expulsion of elements behind 2009 university crackdown.\u201d<\/p>\n
Students of National University forced state TV camera crews out of their session hall and chanted, \u201cState radio & TV are a disgrace,\u201d \u201cState agents out.\u201d<\/p>\n
In the city of Yazd, central Iran, students of the law school disrupted a pro-regime session by chanting, \u201cThe establishment must be uprooted.\u201d<\/p>\n
Students of universities in Mazandaran and Ahvaz staged rallies and raised placards written, \u201cStudents don\u2019t belong in prisons,\u201d and \u201cStudents are aware and ready.\u201d<\/p>\n
Students of Asfarain Tech University turned the stage held for a regime governor to deliver a speech into a scene of protest. \u201cStudents rather die than succumb to abjection.\u201d<\/p>\n
Students of Andimeshk University protested a speech delivered by the governor and chanted, \u201cThe message of justice: struggle till freedom,\u201d \u201cRelease all jailed college students.\u201d<\/p>\n
These student protests were held across the country at a time when the mullahs\u2019 regime held a ridiculous program dubbed \u201cWar of Joy,\u201d attempting to quell student protests. These arrangements were held with hated mullahs and regime officials taking part, all boycotted and hated by the college students.<\/p>\n
In Urmia, northwest Iran, only a few of the thousands of college students actually attended the session. Students of Tabriz University raised a placard in their rally written, \u201cDecember 6 is the day of demanding justice and freedom, not war of joy?!\u201d<\/p>\n
In Semnan University, east of Tehran, regime officials attempted to hold a cultural event, only to be boycotted and ridiculed by the students. These students raised pictures of the students killed on December 7, 1953 by the Shah\u2019s regime. These pictures were captioned as, \u201cToday is not a day of dancing, but a day of commemorating killed college students.\u201d<\/p>\n
