This\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">took place\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">amid the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/actual-number-of-coronavirus-fatalities-compared-with-iran-regimes-figures\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">coronavirus outbreak<\/a> which has so far claimed<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0the<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0lives of nearly 30,000 people.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">On Tuesday,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0the<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0Khorramabad prosecutor\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">attacked the poor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/ncri-statements\/statement-iran-protest\/mullahs-regimes-criminal-force-deployment-in-khorramabads-falak-e-din-district-and-destruction-of-deprived-peoples-houses\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">district\u00a0<\/a><\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">of Falak<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">-e-din and began destructing\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">houses built by impoverished and flood-stricken people with their own means. This attack was ensued by<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0a<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0series of clashes between<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0security forces with<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0locals who were trying to defend their\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">home<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. The regime\u2019s forces\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">savagely began beating residents and injured several el<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">derly locals under the rubbles of houses.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">April 15 &#8211; Brave locals of the impoverished Falakedin district in Khorramabad, western <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Iran?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Iran<\/a>, clashed with hundreds of anti-riot units &amp; IRGC Basij members who launched an attack targeting their homes.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/IranProtests?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#IranProtests<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/gY3TSJmxda\">pic.twitter.com\/gY3TSJmxda<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; People&#39;s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK) (@Mojahedineng) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Mojahedineng\/status\/1250499324649172993?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 15, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The regime took this repressive and inhumane measure while Khorramabad province is among the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">provinces with\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">highest coronavirus mortality rate. Similar to its decision to reopen the business activities\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">amid the coronavirus outbreak and ongoing cover-up and downplaying the crisis, the regime<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u2019s attack on these poor people once again confirmed that\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">mullahs, particularly their president Hassan Rouhani and supreme leader Ali Khamenei, do not care about people\u2019s lives and\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">only try to maintain the<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ir grasp on power.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Since the coronavirus outbreak, the regime\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">has\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">pursued a d<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ual-track\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">policy inside and outside of Iran. In Iran, by cover-up, downplaying and\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">inaction, fearing of a possible uprising and trying to control the restive Iranian society,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the regime trie<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0to use the coronavirus outbreak as<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0a<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0lever of oppression. In other words, the regime consider<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0the coronavirus outbreak a security threat<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0rather than a humanitarian crisis. People\u2019s unanimous demand of regime change was yet again heard and seen during the general boycott of the regime\u2019s sham\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">parliamentary<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0election, for\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">which the regime even concealed the coronavirus outbreak to have a larger turnout.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0The resist<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ance by youth against<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the suppressive forces yesterday\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">as<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0their houses\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">were attacked\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">was another sign of a restive society,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">and that the regime\u2019s fear of another turmoil is\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">well-founded<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In this regard,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Mohammad Sharifi Moghaddam,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">mayor of Khorramabad, in fear of the public\u2019s outrage over the criminal attack by regime forces, told the state official news agency, IRNA<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">:<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0\u201cGiven the Coronavirus outbreak, and the focus of the offices and public services\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">on\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">trying to solve this crisis, some fixers tried to abuse the circumstances and had built (houses) without obtaining necessary permits\u2026 The municipality has only tried to impose the regulations and has not taken any action beyond the legal requirements.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Regarding this issue,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Mrs. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/maryam-rajavi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, the President-elect of the <a href=\"https:\/\/ncr-iran.org\/en\/alternative\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI)<\/a>, while expressing her empathy to the people of Falak-e-din, called on Khorramabad\u2019s courageous\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">youth\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">to the aid of the people of Falak-e-din<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. \u201cT<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">he destruction of the home of the deprived people\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">in the midst of<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0the Coronavirus crisis is another sign of the cruelty of the criminal mullahs, who only think about preserving their theocracy. This regime, instead of providing for the livelihoods of the impoverished and quarantining them, it is waging a campaign against them, and\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">destroying their<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0homes that have been built with basic equipment and much hardship<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,\u201d she said.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The residents of Falakeddin district are victims of the mullahs\u2019 oppression and discrimination.
