The\u00a0People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI)<\/a>\u00a0announced this afternoon, May 13, 2020, that Coronavirus has taken the lives of more than\u00a041<\/strong>,<\/strong>2<\/strong>00<\/strong>\u00a0in 317 cities across Iran.
\nThe death toll in various provinces include: 6885 in Tehran, 2535 in Mazandaran, 2490 in Isfahan, 2360 in Khuzestan, 1465 in Eeast Azerbaijan, 1165 in Hamedan, 1110 in Sistan and Baluchestan, 1105 in Lorestan, 350 in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari. This is in addition to cases registered in other provinces.<\/p>\n

They took to graffiti in public places writing messages of Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi and NCRI President Maryam Rajavi.

For the first time since the coronavirus outbreak began, Iranian regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei joined the Coronavirus Task Force committee meeting on May 10 through video conference, hinting that perhaps he is beginning to seriously think about the crisis that has engulfed the country for three months.
\nAlthough, similar to regime president Hassan Rouhani, Khamenei tried to portray a dominant image of his regime, but his video appearance in the meeting and his remarks are a retreat from his previously claim that the coronavirus \u201cis not a big problem.\u201d This time he mentioned that it is a serious issue and wished that the “young scientists of the homeland” hopefully could discover the vaccine for this “fraudulent virus.” (In reality, however, the regime\u2019s only effort to discover the vaccine has been a failed series of hacking attempts against scientific institutions and research labs in other countries.)
\nKhamenei tried to cover up the regime’s criminal policy of sending people back to work during the pandemic and said, \u201cThe west has failed to manage the coronavirus crisis. People in these countries were attacking the shops.\u201d He also emphasized that \u201cthe defeat of the West must be explained to the public.”<\/p>\n

Iranian regime president Hassan Rouhani instructed Health Minister Saeed Namaki to provide guidelines for reopening religious centers and holy shrines.
\nRouhani\u2019s argument to reopen businesses: \u201cIf the people stay home, they will die from hunger.”
\nWhat argument does he have to justify the reopening of religious sites?
\nMosques and religious centers have always served as a lucrative source of business and revenue for the mullahs.
\nFoundations such as Astan-e Quds are the largest source of income for the mullahs and Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
\nThe “Ramadan” and “Moharam” bazaars are important and the mullahs cannot forgo such massive sources of income.
\nFriday prayers are of political and social importance for the mullahs.
