Mohammad\u00a0<\/span>Baqer<\/span>\u00a0Nobakht, head of the Program and Budget Organization of the Iranian regime, said in December 2019: “For 2020, the daily export of one million barrels of oil at the rate of\u00a0<\/span>$<\/span>50\u00a0<\/span>b<\/span>arrels\u00a0<\/span>p<\/span>er\u00a0<\/span>d<\/span>ay (BPD)\u00a0<\/span>has been predicted.”\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

on\u00a0<\/span>May 14<\/span> Reuters<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span> reported <\/span>\u00a0that\u00a0<\/span>Iran\u2019s oil<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u201c<\/span>e<\/span>xports averaged 70,000 barrels per day in April, down from 287,000 BPD in March, according to\u00a0<\/span>Kepler<\/span>, which tracks the flows.<\/span>\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

During\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>Coronavirus Task Force meeting on May 15, 2020,\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>Iranian regime<\/span>\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0President Hassan Rouhani confirmed a Reuters report stating Iran’s oil exports have dropped to 70,000 barrels per day in April.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Rouhani said: \u201cIf we rely solely on the oil\u00a0<\/span>export<\/span>, we will have problems.\u201d This means that the regime has given up on oil revenues. The regime had<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>partially based<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>the 2020 budget on exporting one million barrels of oil per day at $50 a<\/span>\u00a0barrel<\/span>. The regime had hoped for a total of\u00a0<\/span>$18 billion<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>in\u00a0<\/span>oil\u00a0<\/span>revenue. But given the sudden drop in oil prices during the coronavirus pandemic, there is no chance that the regime can amass that revenue, even if it reaches its desired volume of exports. In the best-case scenario, the regime will only get\u00a0<\/span>$250 million<\/span>\u00a0in a year,\u00a0<\/span>one-seventieth<\/span>\u00a0of what it had anticipated. Now the question is, how does the regime want to fill this gap and continue its economic life?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Rouhani emphasized: \u201cIn the country, we need to produce goods, export them and the currency resulting from exports, and we all need to fulfill the slogan of Surge in Production put forward by the Supreme Leader for this year.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“<\/span>US economic sanctions and the zeroing of Iran’s oil exports to Turkey are among the leading causes of the recession,” the state-run daily\u00a0Etemad<\/span>\u00a0reported on May 17, 2020.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Alarm to reduce oil exports\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What does the Iranian regime’s fall<\/span><\/b>\u00a0in oil sales<\/span><\/b>\u00a0mean?\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Hassan Nasrallah, head of the Lebanese Hezbollah terrorist group, said: “Brothers, we are <\/span>not ashamed<\/span>\u00a0to say that Hezbollah’s budget, expenses, food, and weapons are from the Islamic Republic of Iran.\u00a0<\/span>As long as Iran has money, it means we have money. Do you want more transparency?”\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Vatan-e-<\/span>E<\/span>mrooz state-run daily, May 17, 2020: “Given the focus of sanctions on Iran’s gas exports, Iran’s permanent removal from the region’s gas market is highly likely.”\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These are a set of facts that reflect the dire economic situation of the Iranian regime. On one hand, the<\/span>\u00a0regime faces a<\/span>\u00a0deadly crisis and\u00a0<\/span>deadlock\u00a0<\/span>in meeting the country’s minimum budget<\/span>. O<\/span>n the other hand,<\/span>\u00a0under this dire economic situation,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>the regime’s policy of exporting terrorism<\/span>\u00a0is in a strategic deadlock. It is stuck for<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>how to support and meet the needs of the regime’s proxy terrorist groups in other countries.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In other words, in the context of the coronavirus outbreak crisis, which has put additional pressure on <\/span>all\u00a0<\/span>countries<\/span>\u2019<\/span>\u00a0econom<\/span>ies<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>there has been\u00a0<\/span>a\u00a0<\/span>more severe<\/span>\u00a0impact<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>and outcome in\u00a0<\/span>Iran due to the inefficiency and widespread corruption of the regime and its officials and agents.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Considering the public dissatisfaction and anger of the Iranian people against this regime, which\u00a0<\/span>has resulted\u00a0<\/span>in the great uprisings of 2017-2019 and the beginning of 2020,\u00a0<\/span>a bleak\u00a0<\/span>future awaits this regime, w<\/span>it<\/span>h\u00a0<\/span>its institutionalized<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>corruption, crime, and terrorism.
