According to the regime’s 2017 estimate, Iran has a population of 19 million “slum dwellers” in large cities, which is one of the biggest threats to the coronavirus outbreak<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Iranian regime\u2019s criminal policy of reopening\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>economy<\/span>\u00a0amid the coronavirus outbreak<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>has added\u00a0<\/span>to the tremendous pressure on the poor people<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>leaving them to cho<\/span>o<\/span>se between\u00a0<\/span>starvation to death or\u00a0<\/span>dying because of the COVID-19<\/a><\/span>\u00a0pandemic<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0<\/span>People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran<\/span><\/a> (PMOI\/MEK) announced <\/span>on\u00a0<\/span>Wednesday<\/span>\u00a0 that<\/span>\u00a0the\u00a0<\/span>c<\/span>oronavirus death toll in 319 cities across Iran has ached\u00a0<\/span>exceeded 43,100.<\/span><\/a>\u00a0There is a rapid and shocking rise of the number of those infected or\u00a0<\/span>who\u00a0<\/span>have lost their lives due to COVID-19<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Instead of\u00a0<\/span>helping people to stay in quarantine<\/span>, the regime\u00a0<\/span>forced people back to work.\u00a0<\/span>The\u00a0<\/span>quarantining period, without<\/span>\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>government\u2019s financial support, was quickly resulting in more people joining the army of hungries<\/span>; and this could have\u00a0<\/span>resulted in a nationwide uprising. To avoid this, the regime\u2019s officials, particularly Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and\u00a0<\/span>P<\/span>resident Hassan Rouhani<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0forced people back to work, to keep their grasp on power.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Now instead of helping poor people who must work to earn their daily bread, the regime\u2019s officials are blaming them for spreading the virus. The question is, who has forced them to work?\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The<\/span>\u00a0state-run daily of the Iranian regime called the “<\/span>Eghtesad<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Saramad<\/span>” wrote on Wednesday: \u201cThe impoverished class is the main conduit to transfer the virus. As mobile carriers, they will be present everywhere because if they do not work daily, they will die from starvation. For them<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0isolation and quarantine are meaningless; it makes no difference whether they die from the Coronavirus or from hunger.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In a similar article on Wednesday, the\u00a0<\/span>state-run daily\u00a0<\/span>Hamdeli<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>wrote:<\/span>\u00a0\u201cBased on recent assessments, the poverty line for a four-member-family has reached\u00a0<\/span>nine<\/span>\u00a0million\u00a0<\/span>Tomans<\/span>. Considering that the minimum wage for a large segment of Iranian families, whether employees or workers, is 2.8 million\u00a0<\/span>Tomans<\/span>, there is a six\u2013million-Toman gap between what employed citizens receive and the poverty line across the country.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Since the first days of the coronavirus outbreak, the regime\u2019s president Rouhani has been\u00a0<\/span>continuing a campaign of lying and deception.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Now as the regime\u2019s state-run media admit to the fact that poor people are losing their lives on\u00a0<\/span>a\u00a0<\/span>daily basis and\u00a0<\/span>regime\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>decision will increase the number of infections and death,\u00a0<\/span>Rouhani, again claimed with lies: “We have been progressing step by step in the past three months with no relapse anywhere<\/span>.<\/span>“<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In this regard,\u00a0<\/span>Mrs.\u00a0<\/span>Maraym<\/span>\u00a0Rajavi<\/span><\/a>, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (<\/span>NCRI<\/span><\/a>)<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0said<\/span>: \u201c<\/span>While the backs of working people and deprived citizens are bent under the weight of poverty and the Coronavirus, Rouhani claims that the country has been making progress step-by-step in the past three months and that there has been no relapse anywhere. No-one takes the preposterous claim by the regime\u2019s president seriously. He has founded the Party of Lies.<\/span>\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As poverty and the pandemic are breaking the back of #Iran<\/a>\u2019s working people and the deprived sector, Rouhani claims the country has been advancing step by step over the past three months. Now<\/span>, the people\u2019s conflict with the regime has forced some of the regime\u2019s experts to admit to the Iranian society\u2019s explosiveness.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Saeed\u00a0<\/span>Moidfar<\/span>, a sociologist in Iran\u2019s regime,\u00a0<\/span>told<\/span><\/a>\u00a0the state-run\u00a0<\/span>Etemad<\/span>\u00a0Online website that the mullahs\u2019 regime is doomed. The convict is aware of himself and knows that\u00a0<\/span>nothing,<\/span>\u00a0but destruction awaits him, and he only tries to delay his destruction by continuing his wrong path.\u00a0<\/span>(\u00a0<\/span>Etemad<\/span>\u00a0Online<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0May 17, 2020<\/span>)<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Moidfar<\/span>\u00a0concluded: \u201cWhat has troubled the system is its behavior; it is a framework that it has created for itself and closed all the doors of change to itself and has accelerated in the wrong direction that society and it will bring down the country.\u201d\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0<\/span>mullahs<\/span>\u2019 regime is\u00a0<\/span>in a\u00a0<\/span>social and economic deadlock and besieged by all kinds of crises, including the coronavirus<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>outbreak<\/span>, increasing international isolation<\/span>, economic\u00a0<\/span>pressure, and<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>social dissatisfaction<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The widespread dissatisfaction and uprisings of the Iranian people, especially the recent uprisings in\u00a0<\/span>November 2019<\/span><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>January 2020<\/span><\/a>, led by the organized Iranian Resistance (the\u00a0<\/span>MEK<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span>Resistance Units<\/span><\/a>) across the country, are leading the regime to its inevitable fate of overthrow.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
