NCRI –\u00a0Following escalation of social discontent in Iran as the election approaches, the Iranian regime\u2019s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, noted with concern the growing crisis at the helm of the regime over plundering and upcoming election show and fearfully dispatched his Friday Prayer leaders and commanders of Basij (mobilization) forces to the scene to warn about the consequences of the crisis and the risk of uprisings.<\/p>\n
In this regard, commander of Khamenei\u2019s club wielding plain clothes agent, Saeed Qassemi, in a warning to the Basij forces, quoting Khamenei\u2019s statements, said: \u201cIn 2009 uprising in Iran, the entire system was at the edge of precipice. I was at the heart of Tehran and witnessed that everything was over. I realized that these days were like the days of (the 1979) revolution at the heart of the capital city, like the days during the 1979 revolution when they told me come to the streets\u2026 everything is over.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cDuring 2009 uprising in the Revolution Street, they said that forces of Massoud Rajavi have gathered to finish everything. Everything was over. Basiji forces in the National Oil Company and elsewhere would come and beg the Basij commander to remove their name as a Basiji saying it was all over. It was clear to many that everything was finished\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
Saeed Qassemi while reading out Khomeini\u2019s letter sent to Ayatollah Montazeri in a reaction to his protest against the 1988 massacre of political prisoner, described the letter as the political basis of the regime\u2019s move and dealing with various situations and reiterated that Khomeini\u2019s method in dealing with Montazeri was the same method that Daesh (ISIS) follows in applying coup de gr\u00e2ce or the final death blow.<\/p>\n
