Coronavirus has taken the lives of more than 10000 in Tehran<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The<\/span>re<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>ha<\/span>s<\/span>\u00a0been\u00a0<\/span>a sharp\u00a0<\/span>rise<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>in\u00a0<\/span>the COVID-19 death toll in Iran<\/a><\/span>, particularly in\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>capital Tehran.\u00a0<\/span>The regime\u2019s criminal decision to send people back to work<\/span>\u00a0and<\/span>\u00a0reopen social commuting and religious sites\u00a0<\/span>has indeed increased the death toll.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The People\u2019s Mojahedin\u00a0<\/a><\/span>O<\/span><\/a>rganization of Iran (PMOI, Mujahedin-e Khalq or MEK)<\/a> announced on Thursday:\u00a0<\/span>\u201cB<\/span>ased on specific statistics from dozens of hospitals out of 138 that accept Coronavirus patients in Tehran province, and figures from cemeteries, the death toll for Coronavirus in Tehran Province with a population of 14 million far exceeds 10,000, bringing the number of victims in 323 cities to more than 47,500<\/a><\/span>.<\/span>\u201d\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the MEK<\/a>, between February 20, until May 21,<\/span>\u00a0some<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>4,875 individuals\u00a0<\/span>have died of<\/span>\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>c<\/span>oronavirus in 18 out of 138 hospitals in Tehran that accept Coronavirus patients<\/span>. In addition, the statistics obtained from dozens of hospitals and cemeteries\u00a0<\/span>in Tehran province suggest there have been over 10,000 deaths out of Tehran\u2019s 14 million population.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Instead of\u00a0<\/span>acting<\/span>, the Iranian regime\u2019s officials, with\u00a0<\/span>P<\/span>resident Hassan Rouhani<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>S<\/span>upreme\u00a0<\/span>L<\/span>eader Ali Khamenei<\/span>\u00a0at their forefront, have been either downplaying\u00a0<\/span>or cover<\/span>ing\u00a0<\/span>up the COVID-19 crisis in Iran or blam<\/span>ing<\/span>\u00a0people. Yet they fail to answer\u00a0<\/span>for<\/span>\u00a0conceal<\/span>ing<\/span>\u00a0the\u00a0<\/span>virus<\/span>\u2019<\/span>\u00a0existence in Iran<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>leaving<\/span>\u00a0people uninformed<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>for\u00a0<\/span>refus<\/span>ing<\/span>\u00a0to quarantine the society<\/span>\u00a0when news of the virus leaked out.<\/span>\u00a0Who then forced the people to\u00a0<\/span>go to\u00a0<\/span>work<\/span>\u00a0but the regime?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Anoushirevan<\/span>\u00a0Mohseni,<\/span>\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0regime\u2019s governor of Tehran<\/span>\u00a0P<\/span>rovince<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0blatantly said on Tuesday: \u201c<\/span>The average number of Coronavirus deaths in the country is 8.5%, and in Tehran Province, it is 3.5%<\/span>.\u201d\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile,\u00a0<\/span>Alireza\u00a0Zali, the Head of the National Coronavirus Combat Task Force, said<\/span>:<\/span>\u00a0\u201cIn the past 24 hours, we have witnessed the infection of 265 people and a relative increase of 3.5 percent.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

W<\/span>hile\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>regime\u2019s healthcare officials complain about\u00a0<\/span>a\u00a0<\/span>shortage of\u00a0<\/span>medical equipment and\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>regime\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>apologists<\/span>\u00a0try to\u00a0<\/span>blame\u00a0<\/span>sanction<\/span>s<\/span>\u00a0for it,\u00a0<\/span>Rouhani on Wednesday\u00a0<\/span>said:\u00a0<\/span>\u201c<\/span>In the case of<\/span>\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0Coronavirus, Iran is on the list of successful countries in the fight against this dangerous virus \u2026 In the severe situation related to the Coronavirus pandemic, we have had no issues about hospital beds, special and ICU beds, nor have we had any problems with the ventilation units<\/span>.\u201d\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In another shameless act, Iraj\u00a0<\/span>Har<\/span>irchi<\/span>, in an interview with state\u00a0<\/span>television\u00a0<\/span>on May 25<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>said: \u201c<\/span>44%\u00a0<\/span>of people in<\/span>\u00a0Tehran did not comply, and ultimately Tehran is our Achilles heel in many of these cases<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0Unfortunately, Tehran is in the worst situation in terms of compliance with [health] protocols. In particular, the outskirts of Tehran are crowded, and there are some side issues in those places, as well as some of the ceremonies that are being held.<\/span>\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Before\u00a0<\/span>Harirchi<\/span>, Rouhani himself, during a call with his Interior Minister, Abdolr<\/span>eza Rahmani\u00a0<\/span>Fazli<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0on May 25\u00a0<\/span>said:\u00a0<\/span>\u201cI have r<\/span>eceived reports from several provinces, where the spread of the virus has increased due to people\u2019s disregard for health protocols<\/span>.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the state-run IRNA news agency <\/span>on May 25 wrote: \u201c<\/span>The difficult economic conditions caused us to relax social distancing and under the rubric of smart social distancing, which created a new environment for the spread of the pandemic. We do not have a specific treatment and standard to deal\u00a0<\/span>with those infected. The medical personnel are exhausted and extremely fatigued because of the heavy pressure of their work in recent months<\/span>.\u201d\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In this regard, Mrs. Maryam\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Rajavi<\/span>, the president-elect of the National Council Of Resistance of Iran (NCRI)<\/a><\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0had said:\u00a0<\/span>\u201c<\/span>Insolence and projecting blame on others will go on ceaselessly until the regime is overthrown and is a well-known pattern of the anti-human mullahs who are the main culprits for death and destruction in occupied Iran.<\/span>\u201d\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>For Khamenei and Rouhani, the lives and well-being of the people are worthless. They only want to protect their regime from the threat of uprising. The criminal decision to send people to work is a crime against humanity and will cause countless number of victims<\/span>\u00a0of COVID-19 in Iran,\u201d Mrs.\u00a0Rajavi\u00a0had earlier stated.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
