Qalibaf and Qassem Soleimani<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Mohammad Bagh<\/span>e<\/span><\/a>r Qalibaf, one of the main elements of oppression and warmongering<\/span>\u00a0in Iran\u2019s clerical<\/span>\u00a0regime<\/span>, and a leading figure of plundering and embezzlement<\/span>\u00a0was appointed as the regime\u2019s new parliament speaker on May 28.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In his first speech on May 31, Qalibaf exposed the nature and the roadmap of a parliament filled with members of the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC<\/a>) and corrupt elements of\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>intelligence and oppression<\/span>\u00a0network<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He made important<\/span>\u00a0an<\/span>\u00a0acknowledgment about the regime\u2019s critical and disunited situation and counted some of the threats against the regime. He said:\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>The first threat is the reduction of the social capital of the system, which is the result of the saturated managerial inefficiency of the country and the distance of the officials from the principles of the revolution, creating economic and livelihood challenges, preparing the ground for unemployment and widespread social harm. Another threat is corruption, a concern that has penetrated and\u00a0<\/span>become\u00a0<\/span>institutionalized in various structures and led to increased discrimination and dissatisfaction, and the failure to achieve justice.\u201d\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Qalibaf<\/a> made these remarks while he is one of the leading figures of governmental corruption within the regime.\u00a0<\/span>As part of<\/span>\u00a0the infighting\u00a0<\/span>by<\/span>\u00a0rival factions, the state-run\u00a0<\/span>Etehad<\/span>\u00a0Khabar website, in an article published on May 30, identified him as a leader of theft and looting in the mullahs\u2019 regime and wrote: \u201cNow Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf<\/a> is head of a legislative power which intends to fight corruption. The important question is:\u00a0<\/span>C<\/span>ould we wipe a window with\u00a0<\/span>a\u00a0<\/span>dirty\u00a0<\/span>napkin<\/span>?\u00a0<\/span>Can a person accused of corruption be the center of the fight against corruption? Of course, everything will be clarified after some time.\u201d\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Qalibaf also said: \u201cThe country’s disrupted administrative-executive system is another threat that has ruled out good governance.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

H<\/span>e concluded: \u201cWhat makes the situation more dangerous is the executive branch\u2019s administrative model, which,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>along with its inefficiency and managerial confusion and its focus on looking to<\/span>\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0outside, does not believe in the principles and components of the jihadi management model.\u201d\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Qalibaf\u00a0also called any negotiations with the United States fruitless. While persisting on continuing terrorism and warmongering in the\u00a0<\/span>region,\u00a0<\/span>he\u00a0<\/span>describe<\/span>d the\u00a0<\/span>leadership<\/span>\u00a0of<\/span>\u00a0Ali Khamenei,\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>regime\u2019s supreme leader, as the best opportunity for the regime. While the regime\u2019s hollow power in the region has shattered after the elimination of\u00a0Qassem\u00a0Soleimani<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>[head of the<\/span>\u00a0terrorist<\/span>\u00a0Revolutionary Guards\u2019 Quds Force<\/a>]<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0Qalibaf\u00a0<\/a>said: \u201cThe systems\u2019 achievement have been rendered due to the efforts made by people like\u00a0Qassem\u00a0Soleimani<\/span>.<\/span>\u201d\u00a0<\/span>H<\/span>e continued<\/span>:<\/span>\u00a0\u201cThe Eleventh Majlis [parliament] considers strong confrontation with foreign enemies, especially the United States and the Zionist regime, as one of its basic principles, and will not hesitate in confronting the opposition and internal hypocrites. The 11th parliament has pledged to continue the path of Martyr Soleimani in increasing the power of the Axis of Resistance as an unchangeable strategy<\/span>. It<\/span>\u00a0considers supporting the Palestinian people, Hezbollah in Lebanon, resistance groups, Hamas, Islamic Jihad<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0and the oppressed people of Yemen as its revolutionary and national duty. Negotiation and compromise with the\u00a0<\/span>U.S.<\/span>\u00a0as the axis of\u00a0<\/span>G<\/span>lobal\u00a0<\/span>A<\/span>rrogance is considered fruitless and harmful.<\/span>\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Qalibaf\u2019s<\/span><\/a>\u00a0speech portrays a complete picture of the regime\u2019s comprehensive crises and the deadlock\u00a0<\/span>in which\u00a0<\/span>it is trapped.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The regime\u2019s supreme leader, Khamenei, in a meeting with regime\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>paramilitary\u00a0<\/span>Basijis<\/span>\u00a0in universities, described the establishment of a “young and\u00a0<\/span>Hezbollahi<\/span>\u00a0government ” as the country\u2019s\u00a0 way out<\/span>\u00a0of<\/span>\u00a0crises and said by a young and\u00a0<\/span>Hezbollahi<\/span>\u00a0government, he meant someone like\u00a0<\/span>Qassem Soleimani, the eliminated commander of the terrorist Quds force<\/a>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This critical situation, highly multiplied by the coronavirus crisis, has terrified\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>regime\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>forces<\/span>\u00a0and pushed them to<\/span>\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>brink<\/span>\u00a0of defection.\u00a0<\/span>They are p<\/span>articularly<\/span>\u00a0fearful of<\/span>\u00a0the people\u2019s uprising, as the fire under ashes could rise again. In this regard, Khamenei, in the same meeting during which he spoke of a young\u00a0<\/span>Hezbollahi<\/span>\u00a0government, with an unprecedented frankness warned about Iranian youth approaching the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK)<\/a> just like the first years of the anti-monarchic revolution.\u00a0<\/span>H<\/span>e warned them not to help\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>enemy recruit people.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I<\/span>n order to<\/span>\u00a0boost the moral<\/span>e<\/span>\u00a0of\u00a0<\/span>his<\/span>\u00a0forces who are disappointed and hopeless of the situation getting better,\u00a0<\/span>Khamenei had intended\u00a0<\/span>to fulfill his longtime dream of unifying his regime.\u00a0<\/span>But in reality<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0it<\/span>\u00a0was revealed that this Majlis, even after dozen times of filtering, is another field of\u00a0<\/span>infighting and with the intensifying problems between the regime\u2019s faction<\/span>s<\/span>, the crisis will be more intensified th<\/span>a<\/span>n before. In other words, even unifying this regime demands a capability and potential that does not exist in the regime.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But most importantly, Khamenei clearly showed his regime\u2019s strategic roadmap<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0which is\u00a0<\/span>a<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>policy\u00a0<\/span>of\u00a0<\/span>contraction in all aspects, including in dealing with the U.S.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The result of Khamenei\u2019s remarks and\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>regime\u2019s future actions, despite the infighting and crisis it has created inside the regime, clarified\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>regime\u2019s strategic plan for the era after\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>current president, Hassan Rouhani, which has one result: The last hope of\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>regime<\/span>\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>apologist<\/span>s<\/span>\u00a0and lovers of negotiation and interaction with the U.S. has shattered.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
